not intended, i'm realizing how that post didn't capture what i was trying to say. let me try again. considering how long i've hung around ilx, i've seen all these different groups and scenes sort of coalesce and i spent an unreasonable amount of effort trying to become part of one of those - like threads or groups of threads centered around posters i really liked. i mean like, sure, i post often in the chicago thread of the rolling metal threads, but go back and look how often my comments are like shouting into the void, the conversations just sort of roll around much of my posts. which is fine, and is part of my point, learning that no one really cared freed me to stop caring myself whether ilxors liked me or respected me or whatever. i just don't quite fit, which is fine, not everyone does. realizing this helped me not get worked up by silly things.
