my records came today so i'm ripping them and drinking beer. so-so disco-house edits right now with some hopefully better ones in the queue.

Dinner and Scrabble. Was bewitched by the fact that my letters spelled CUNTIES and finally asked my opponent if it was OK if I just put CUNTIES because I couldn't find a bingo otherwise. BF takes one look and says "COUNTRIES you asshole"

I got out of work early so I actually got some good sleep for once. Also got a chance to finish moving the bulk of my laptop music library to a thumb drive. I have approx 20 albums on my main hard drive; I had to fight hard the urge to start a meaningless Sunday morning poll about them

i also just had breakfast and it's almost four at night

going to a cookout tonight, which is an extremely sociable thing for me to do compared to an average Saturday

- sitting inside watching other people's fireworks through the window, and the rain, and the trees
- was listening to tobin sprout until the cd player decided to stop working
- have been intending to watch some kind of online course thing any time now since 8 hours ago, not quite got round to it yet

i would eat the hell out of some eggs. i don't have any in the house. scrambled egg whites sound really good right about now.

i want poached eggs

for some reason I was never really able to eat eggs as a kid, I'd get bad stomach cramps for hours. my adult life has been improved by my ability to digest eggs.

Watched the first two John Pertwee-era Doctor Who serials. Good stuff! I kept thinking oh man I want one of those velvet coats. Also that cool car. Also to travel through time and space in a police box! I watched it and my new kitty (who is 2 months old) was sleeping next to me, looking up every now and then to watch too. I think cats love all the weird sounds in Dr. Who.
