Bitch Fantastic (DJP), Sunday, 6 October 2013 05:10 (twelve years ago)

for a non actor i thought miley was exceptional

J0rdan S., Sunday, 6 October 2013 05:13 (twelve years ago)

well i guess she is/was an actor but whatever

J0rdan S., Sunday, 6 October 2013 05:13 (twelve years ago)

you've come a long way, Jordan S.

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 6 October 2013 06:01 (twelve years ago)

i don't know what that means, i was just referring to the conversation earlier this week about everyone sounding bad on SNL

J0rdan S., Sunday, 6 October 2013 06:06 (twelve years ago)

big upping Taylor Swift records, calling Miley's acting exceptional, you've softened over the years. I think it's a positive obviously.

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 6 October 2013 06:16 (twelve years ago)

positive in which column?

i thought miley sounded great! i like her on snl comedy-wise too. kinda hope she keeps that

dug her getup for 'wrecking ball' btw

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Sunday, 6 October 2013 07:28 (twelve years ago)

she did sound great; imo pop singers shouldn't dance and sing unless they've gone through the Beyonce Boot Camp

Bitch Fantastic (DJP), Sunday, 6 October 2013 13:00 (twelve years ago)

Poetry teacher character was brilliant. Bayer seemed to dominate this ep.

hopping and bopping to the krokodil rot (Tarfumes The Escape Goat), Sunday, 6 October 2013 15:54 (twelve years ago)

Set it to record, missed the last 20+ minutes because of its late start. Anything I should try to track down after the cheerleading sketch?

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 6 October 2013 16:25 (twelve years ago)

mornin miami, poetry class, and the kyle mooney thing were after so i'd say yes

balls, Sunday, 6 October 2013 16:33 (twelve years ago)

this was mostly dire

johnny crunch, Sunday, 6 October 2013 16:40 (twelve years ago)

interesting that bruce willis is hosting nxt week

johnny crunch, Sunday, 6 October 2013 16:42 (twelve years ago)

shiny trippy people holding bandz (m bison), Sunday, 6 October 2013 16:44 (twelve years ago)

lol I would love it if Katy Perry hosted and Bruno came out and played his version of "Respect Yourself" twice.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 6 October 2013 16:48 (twelve years ago)

"mornin' miami" was definitely by and far the best of the night, although of course it was the one that came on right after i went to bed, so i just now watched it online

marky markers & the blinky bunch (some dude), Sunday, 6 October 2013 17:35 (twelve years ago)

I passed out after Morning Miami so that's good to know

Bitch Fantastic (DJP), Sunday, 6 October 2013 17:38 (twelve years ago)

it is 'interesting' that Bruce is hosting for the first time just now with nothing to plug, especially since he makes like 3-5 movies a year, they should be able to just wait a few months to catch him on a promotional cycle.

marky markers & the blinky bunch (some dude), Sunday, 6 October 2013 17:39 (twelve years ago)

i passed out after seeing that i had typed "by and far"

marky markers & the blinky bunch (some dude), Sunday, 6 October 2013 17:39 (twelve years ago)

willis hosted way back in the 80s, was a pretty great host, did one of the first wayne's worlds. always wondered why he hadn't been back, figured he just wasn't interested.

Isn't Red 2 out soon? I saw a preview for it recently.

Immediate Follower (NA), Sunday, 6 October 2013 18:04 (twelve years ago)

Red 2 came and went three months ago. the next sequel in his queue, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, is ten months away.

marky markers & the blinky bunch (some dude), Sunday, 6 October 2013 18:11 (twelve years ago)

Oh weird I swear I saw a preview for it a month ago.

Immediate Follower (NA), Sunday, 6 October 2013 18:24 (twelve years ago)

it was originally supposed to come out in october but they pushed it back to april

da croupier, Sunday, 6 October 2013 19:47 (twelve years ago)

sorry, next august

da croupier, Sunday, 6 October 2013 19:48 (twelve years ago)

it's so fucking bad

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Sunday, 6 October 2013 20:18 (twelve years ago)

Red 2 was bad? I didn't even see Red until this year, and liked it, so hearing that is a drag.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 6 October 2013 20:56 (twelve years ago)

first one was fun - sequel is the opposite of fun

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Sunday, 6 October 2013 21:04 (twelve years ago)

the more i think about it, the more irritating it is that they did a pretty decent parody of Miley's video about the gov't shutdown, AND THEN felt the need to do a cold open that shoehorned Miley at the VMAs and the shutdown into the same labored premise.

Jay's Shannon Sharpe impression on Weekend Update KILLED me

lorde willin' (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Sunday, 6 October 2013 23:31 (twelve years ago)

I loved his Will Smith because it was more like he was doing an impression of his Fresh Prince of Bel Air persona

Neanderthal, Monday, 7 October 2013 00:55 (twelve years ago)

balls, Tuesday, 8 October 2013 02:14 (twelve years ago)

Before this ep I was just kinda like "eh Miley whatever" and then by the end of it I was like "oh hey I think I rly like this girl a lot"

Stevie D(eux), Tuesday, 8 October 2013 02:58 (twelve years ago)

For a young dumb 20 year old she is a little more intelligent and self aware and willfully self-mocking than most other young dumb 20 year olds!

Stevie D(eux), Tuesday, 8 October 2013 03:00 (twelve years ago)

katy perry lookin good, especially in contrast to her backing band

Treeship, Sunday, 13 October 2013 04:07 (twelve years ago)

Weekend Update seemed abnormally hilarious to me tonight. Go figure. McDonald's drive-thru joke was the. best.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 13 October 2013 08:46 (twelve years ago)

cecily's killin' it

some dude, Sunday, 13 October 2013 11:06 (twelve years ago)

A lot of the sketches this season seem shorter than usual. Given that one the most frequent and longstanding criticisms of the show is that sketches drag on too long, beat a joke into the ground, etc., that's not necessarily a bad thing. But some of them also seem underdeveloped and end sort of arbitrarily.
