However he is very, very good at hosting BB'sBM. the ballbag thing is v unfunny and his schtick is v thin and samey and his "set pieces" for the phone message thing etc are also quite unfunny but he does say some funny things, sometimes, usually in conversation or when people are shouting

what i like most about him is that although he's very quick, especially in the audience opinion sections of the show, he's never snide towards the audience members. also he always tries to deflate any particularly vitriolic opinion in a surprisingly claming way. telly people like him because he is totally professional. If you shout in his earpiece that he needs to make shit up for the next two minutes, he'll do it. It seems like a strange skill in the real world, but is highly prized in tellyland.
