That one's ok, but no match for the magnificence of his really early ones.
― chap, Friday, 1 June 2007 01:39 (nineteen years ago)
except WRONG.
i still think PBF is funny. having read all of them (and looking forward to a book) he's always seemed kind of hit-or-miss to my sense of humor.

Did anyone else preorder the book?
I did. Yes, the cover artwork is awful, although I'm sure if you eat a dozen pixie sticks it may make more sense. But, it's only 10 dollars, it's 96 pages, and if each page looks like this:
http://www.pbfcomics.com/images/Book-Open.jpg
that means around 180 little strips.

How is that final eye so funny?!?
― Michael Dudikoff presents Action Adventure Theatre, Monday, 29 October 2007 13:26 (eighteen years ago)
Because it implies God isn't really angry at them rather than being a perv who wants to keep watching them.
That strip is wrong btw, it's basic theological knwoledge that angels are sexless ands therefore don't have any genitals.
― Tuomas, Monday, 29 October 2007 13:30 (eighteen years ago)
bollocks

― Tuomas, Monday, 29 October 2007 14:46 (eighteen years ago)
The question MIGHT have been rhetorical.

― Catsupppppppppppppp dude 茄蕃, Monday, 29 October 2007 15:39 (eighteen years ago)
is the book a 'best of'?
― pisces, Monday, 29 October 2007 17:12 (eighteen years ago)
It must be, because although the book supposedly contains some new strips, I think the majority are ones that are already in the archive.
I'm ok with that though. It's still one of the few comics that actually make me laugh out loud every once in a while.

"Better" = overanalysis, obviously.
― Tuomas, Friday, 2 November 2007 15:33 (eighteen years ago)
WHO CARES WHICH ONE IS "BETTER"? THAT WAS NOT WHY I POSTED IT; I POSTED IT BECAUSE I READ IT AND THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY.
FFS IT'S NOT A HUMOR COMPETITION

oh, good, let's apply that music-crit ranking impulse to comics. we can remove the fun from the joke and then use the joke-husks as cultural capital.
fuck you, l. jagger.
