last min predictions flynn dies, theres some sort of final walt/jesse standoff, todd and lydia get married

ภค๓ครՇє (lag∞n), Monday, 30 September 2013 00:25 (twelve years ago)

Todd corners Jesse and Walt after their successful Nazi massacre, says "nothing personal" as he readies himself to pull the trigger, gets shot by Hank, Walt says "I thought you were dead?", Hank says "nope", cue 'Any Way You Want It' and a full-cast party.

opie dead eyed piece of shit (Merdeyeux), Monday, 30 September 2013 00:33 (twelve years ago)

Can't watch this until tomorrow morning. I'm going to have to disconnect all electronic devices now so as not to catch any spoilerz.

I got the glares, the mutterings, the snarls (President Keyes), Monday, 30 September 2013 00:38 (twelve years ago)

I got nothing - could really go so many ways. Just watching the repeat from last week. Jesse looked like Todd actually brought him ice cream pretty regularly.

brio, Monday, 30 September 2013 00:39 (twelve years ago)

feel like either Flynn or skylar dies

ภค๓ครՇє (lag∞n), Monday, 30 September 2013 00:40 (twelve years ago)

but it's better if its Flynn cause hes the only innocent one

ภค๓ครՇє (lag∞n), Monday, 30 September 2013 00:41 (twelve years ago)

also because I have misandry #teamskylar

ภค๓ครՇє (lag∞n), Monday, 30 September 2013 00:43 (twelve years ago)

how many major characters are left standing 1 hr 15 mins from now?
Does Walt die?
Jesse?

brio, Monday, 30 September 2013 00:44 (twelve years ago)

walt no jesse maybe expert guess

ภค๓ครՇє (lag∞n), Monday, 30 September 2013 00:45 (twelve years ago)

killing walt would at least guarantee that no one will continue his story in comic book form

Quick show of hands - who dies?

Guessing:
Walt dead by end of episode.
Jesse dies.
Todd, Lydia, Jack dead.
Marie and Skyler live.
Not sure about Flynn.

brio, Monday, 30 September 2013 00:47 (twelve years ago)

Walt dead. Nazi crew + Lydia dead. Jesse dead, in some heroic fashion. Rest of the Whites alive.

opie dead eyed piece of shit (Merdeyeux), Monday, 30 September 2013 00:54 (twelve years ago)

haven't wanted a cigarette this bad in years, what the fuck?

brio, Monday, 30 September 2013 00:56 (twelve years ago)

looking forward to Facebook clearing like the autumn sky

dude who wrote that post gotta be so pumped right now

ᶓ͠סּᴥ͠סּᶔ ᶓͼ᷆ₓͼ᷇ᶔ (gr8080), Monday, 30 September 2013 01:03 (twelve years ago)

Yeah srsly

O_o-O_O-o_O (jjjusten), Monday, 30 September 2013 01:04 (twelve years ago)

i kinda feel like 'does Walt live' is a stupid question -- even setting aside the cancer and everything else, any situation in which he lives, there'd still be a story worth having a show about, barring the "he hides out in a cabin for the rest of his life" scenario they already played out and then dismissed

Jean-Claude Brand Ambassador (some dude), Monday, 30 September 2013 01:25 (twelve years ago)

That's what she gets for drinking camomile instead of sauvignon blanc

the objections to Drake from non-REAL HIPHOP people (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Monday, 30 September 2013 01:36 (twelve years ago)

how long is this?

brio, Monday, 30 September 2013 01:55 (twelve years ago)

20 more minutes?!

O_o-O_O-o_O (jjjusten), Monday, 30 September 2013 01:56 (twelve years ago)

so Walt Had made contact with a Transformer armed with a howitzer.

the objections to Drake from non-REAL HIPHOP people (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:14 (twelve years ago)

yeah that was fucking great. especially walt and skylar in the kitchen, Jesus.

combination hair (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:16 (twelve years ago)

I got problems with an automated Gatling gun or whatever in a trunk as deux ex waltima but whatever it's over

the objections to Drake from non-REAL HIPHOP people (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:17 (twelve years ago)

That was really well constructed, imo. Didn't feel rushed, didn't feel padded.

cops on horse (WilliamC), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:18 (twelve years ago)

but it really fit the show I thought - the whole show from season one has had that kinda thing. it was a stretch, but the show's full of stretches. "enslaved by nazis to cook meth" is a bigger stretch than the mcguyver gun imo

combination hair (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:18 (twelve years ago)

wow. totally different direction than I thought they were going, and I'm glad.

The scene in the kitchen, where he finally admitted his motivation. Watching Flynn for the last time.

Jesse's badass action hero revenge-strangling of Todd. Badger and Pete's Keystone Kops turn. The trunk-machine gun. Walt point-blanking Uncle Nazi.

Definitely wanna watch again, but satisfying overall.

Neanderthal, Monday, 30 September 2013 02:19 (twelve years ago)

Such a fucking perfect ending song.

hopping and bopping to the krokodil rot (Tarfumes The Escape Goat), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:19 (twelve years ago)

xpost yeah I mean no more of a stretch than whan he detonated Tuco's building.

Neanderthal, Monday, 30 September 2013 02:20 (twelve years ago)

That was perfect

O_o-O_O-o_O (jjjusten), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:21 (twelve years ago)

fuckin skinny pete and badger as fake assassins. I liked this episode as well as any episode honestly.

combination hair (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:21 (twelve years ago)

Trunk-gun no wilder than wheelchair-bomb.

cops on horse (WilliamC), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:22 (twelve years ago)

A good episode: the restaurant meeting with Todd and Lydia built tension perfection. I guess I don't like explicit scenes -- I didn't need Walt to spell out why he was doing this when I guess most of us knew for years.

I'm relieved, though, that we got no Flynn, only one scene with Skylar and Marie apiece.

the objections to Drake from non-REAL HIPHOP people (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:22 (twelve years ago)

thematically i didn't love it (in the end Walt pretty much got all he wanted, as far as leaving money to his family, and not losing anyone he cared about besides Hank, who he didn't even like when the show started), but as far as execution it was pretty damn well done, lots of great individual scenes that fell together perfectly.

Jean-Claude Brand Ambassador (some dude), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:23 (twelve years ago)

no schmaltz in this episode

the objections to Drake from non-REAL HIPHOP people (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:23 (twelve years ago)

by avoiding histrionics for the most part (outside of the trunk gun, obv), made for a better finale. Walt died (somewhat) redeemed.

Meanwhile Gretchen and Elliott will live the rest of their lives afraid of laser pointers.

xpost I mean the show didn't 'need' Walt spelling it out, but it was effective because it was his first genuine mea culpa to Skyler, which is why she brightened a little after he said it. It was less for the audience, more for her.

Neanderthal, Monday, 30 September 2013 02:23 (twelve years ago)

i liked the contemplative tone, felt good

ภค๓ครՇє (lag∞n), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:24 (twelve years ago)

I guess I like what the show does well so much that I expect it to be colder.

was he redeemed? It didn't even occur to me.

the objections to Drake from non-REAL HIPHOP people (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:25 (twelve years ago)

walt got redemption

ภค๓ครՇє (lag∞n), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:25 (twelve years ago)

a shot at redemption you might say

the objections to Drake from non-REAL HIPHOP people (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:26 (twelve years ago)

xpost Only some. I mean his body count is way too high, too many lives destroyed by him directly or indirectly, to come even close to doing that just by Home Alone-machine gunning a buncha Nazis down. But at least he showed some remorse, helped his remaining family out a bit, and well....didn't kill anybody else that didn't deserve it.

Neanderthal, Monday, 30 September 2013 02:27 (twelve years ago)

was it just me, or was anybody else wondering how bad Walt had to have smelled when he walked into the Schwartzes house?

Neanderthal, Monday, 30 September 2013 02:28 (twelve years ago)

really loved & would write thinkpiece about the moment when Jack tries to squirm out of getting shot and Walt doesn't listen - that's the redemptive moment, Walt is no longer in the game in any way and isn't hearing any offers. he's done; he's dead to all that.

combination hair (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:28 (twelve years ago)

I wasn't thinking about redemption, only B.O.

the objections to Drake from non-REAL HIPHOP people (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:28 (twelve years ago)

yeah aerosmith otm - my favorite moment, where he tried to bargain and he just 86'ed em ice cold.

also Lydia looking like death was an A+ makeup job.

Neanderthal, Monday, 30 September 2013 02:30 (twelve years ago)

it did seem perfect and appropriate for the show. wrapping everything together in a neat/satisfying way.

what does 'redemption' really mean? marie, skyler, walt jr and even holly are going to have a really hard time in life regardless of whether anyone gets $9 million

seriously, THIS GUY (daria-g), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:30 (twelve years ago)

she removes the pumps, she turns into Cinderella at her stepmother's.

the objections to Drake from non-REAL HIPHOP people (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:30 (twelve years ago)

I like the elbow-in-the-ribs suggestion that Skylar's gonna get cancer herself.

the objections to Drake from non-REAL HIPHOP people (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Monday, 30 September 2013 02:31 (twelve years ago)

walt got redemption in that he was shown to not be a total psychopath
