this is probably the wrong thread, but:
since upgrading to iOS7 on my iPad, youtube embeds don't load in Safari anymore
actually, they do appear to load for a split second, then get replaced by a blank white space
― |$̲̅(̲̅ιοο̲̅)̲̅$̲̅| (gr8080), Wednesday, 4 December 2013 16:34 (twelve years ago)
Me too. I mentioned the problem on the Apple thread a few weeks ago but no one chimed in.
What generation iPad do you have? Hoping this is a good enough excuse to upgrade to a new one.
― Plasmon, Wednesday, 4 December 2013 20:12 (twelve years ago)
Please send your iPads to me
I will check your compatibility

Think embeds show as HTML5 these days. No problem with youtube site itself, and no problem here until iOS7.
― Plasmon, Thursday, 5 December 2013 17:05 (twelve years ago)
Hey I tried to dl this and iTunes says it's no longer available. What'd I miss?
― dan m, Monday, 6 January 2014 01:48 (twelve years ago)
Eugh, I forgot to renew my dev subscription. £60 to sell apps. Have done it now, apps should be back on the store shortly.

Minor issue alert: Zing crashes if you access a poll thread, click through to poll options or results and then go back.

that's like a helpful design feature

Even once in a while I type some long post and then completely wipe it out by accident. For a long time I thought I was somehow hitting a hot key combo by accident but I finally figured out today it was just a fat-fingered hit on the trash can icon.
― When I Get To The Borad (James Redd and the Blecchs), Thursday, 17 April 2014 20:04 (twelve years ago)
I do that all the damn time. Then when I shake to undo, the app crashes.
― Jeff, Thursday, 17 April 2014 20:12 (twelve years ago)
That's why I have don't have the time to fix redundancies like two occurrences of "by accident"- I'm afraid the thing will vanish while I am looking it over.
― When I Get To The Borad (James Redd and the Blecchs), Thursday, 17 April 2014 20:27 (twelve years ago)
Would be nice in any future upgrade to be able to disable trash or enable "Are you sure?" afterwards.
― Bee Traven Thousand (James Redd and the Blecchs), Sunday, 27 April 2014 13:12 (twelve years ago)
I think I mentioned something similar up thread because I've accidentally tapped that trash can more times than I can remember. I think the trash icon would make the most sense in the "more..." category
― Karl Malone, Sunday, 27 April 2014 14:07 (twelve years ago)
That's not a bad idea. Where it lives now it is right in the path of certain finger arcs that lead to, among others, the 'A' key, the 'E' key and the Shift-key, keys that seem to get hit reasonably often.
― Bee Traven Thousand (James Redd and the Blecchs), Sunday, 27 April 2014 14:13 (twelve years ago)
Do you think it might be worth getting rid of the "DELETE EVERYTHING YOU JUST WROTE" button? It'd pretty easy to do this w/o the button and it's so close to Q and W that I constantly hit it but then type a few more characters before I realize so that shaking/undoing won't restore the text. I'm willing to bet more people press it accidentally than on purposefully
― DERE is no DERE DERE (Stevie D(eux)), Monday, 7 July 2014 12:05 (eleven years ago)
I have never pressed it accidentally, and do use it from time to time
― gbx, Monday, 7 July 2014 12:56 (eleven years ago)
i didn't know that existed, i would def use it!
― call all destroyer, Monday, 7 July 2014 13:04 (eleven years ago)
I use it a lot. I've maybe accidentally hit it once or twice. Maybe keep it but move it somewhere so it's harder to press it accidentally?
― carl agatha, Monday, 7 July 2014 13:10 (eleven years ago)
I accidentally press it all the time.
― Jeff, Monday, 7 July 2014 13:29 (eleven years ago)
xp that would work! I didn't realize ppl used it but yeah it is a constant source of frustration w/ my gargantuan thumbs

is there no 'confirm this y/n?'?
― koogs, Monday, 7 July 2014 13:40 (eleven years ago)
Nope. It just goes. It takes a while to figure out what's going on actually. For a whole I thought I was hitting some magic combo of keys, like Shift-delete.
― Riot In #9 Dream (James Redd and the Blecchs), Monday, 7 July 2014 13:44 (eleven years ago)
You can shake to undo the deletion, mind (although someone said that crashed for them).
I'll move it in the mythical next release
― stet, Monday, 7 July 2014 15:43 (eleven years ago)
It crashes, but it does bring the text back when you go back in.
― Madchen, Monday, 7 July 2014 15:55 (eleven years ago)
Shake it but don't break it
― Riot In #9 Dream (James Redd and the Blecchs), Monday, 7 July 2014 16:00 (eleven years ago)
I've never seen the text come back after post-shaking crash.
― Je55e, Monday, 7 July 2014 17:17 (eleven years ago)
Also, for the benefit of those who didn't hear the news, I'll move it in the mythical next release probably means "I'll do it some time before our baby's first birthday, if you're lucky" :)
― Madchen, Monday, 7 July 2014 17:21 (eleven years ago)
Yeah it crashes often, and a lot of times by the time I realize it I've already typed enough that Undo won't go back far enough to undo the clear :-(
― DERE is no DERE DERE (Stevie D(eux)), Monday, 7 July 2014 19:53 (eleven years ago)
