Never thought of it before, but Charlie Rose would be a great voice-only Charlie for Charlie's Angels.

Also, maybe he'll be doing a drug-war analysis with Jeffrey Toobin on a TV in the background in some diner.

No wai, all the 'getting the band back together' episodes are great.

I'm probably in the minority but i do miss the hijinks and black comedy of earlier seasons. but then I'm less enthralled and convinced by the darker turn of the show (obviously necessary for the story it wants to tell). the A to B construction is obviously the big pleasure of the show but it's very limited.

i felt that way about the first half of s5, but the 2nd half has been pretty satisfying for me.

Walter acting churlish to Jesse, as if he was the "dumb sidekick" prior to meeting Saul were some of my favorite comic moments

one thing i'm curious about is whether they always knew walt would go this dark, or if they eventually realized it was the only plausible outcome of the choice he took.

Jesse explaining Ice Road Truckers to Walt and his response was a good example of what made them an entertaining duo.

I meant to add .. while they were still friends, but that episode ends with them beating each other to a pulp.

Yeah I still can't believe it's going to be a prequel - just let saul live and show him sticking to ambulance chasing. I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that he has to die or anything. His name didn't even come up this episode!

otm, it's all been pretty predictable the last while, though the horror of it has carried it through.

Identity guy has whisked him off to Kerry, he won't really stand out there.

walt has to come back to kill nazis if not save jesse though it sort of doesn't matter at this point - the nazis don't represent much more than chaos that walt has unleashed upon everything and killing them won't really wrap up v much or rectify anything unless ok they're a threat to skylar/jr I dunno and if saving jesse is a heroic thing it's kinda dumb too since he could have let jesse hide under his car a bit longer although then jesse might have tried to kill him after the nazis were gone and now that they've tortured him and enslaved him under threat of brock and mom he will be grateful to be liberated and hug him (walter)

isn't it more likely Jesse escapes Nazis, and Walt is coming to save family from Jesse? More drama if the final face-off is Walt vs. Jesse than Walt vs. Nazi. Admitting to Jesse that he killed Jane felt to me like the writers' tipping their hand to make sure the audience is 100% sure Jesse will want to take revenge onWalt - even if it means Jesse doing so in an uncharacteristically nasty way. Also after all he's piled on Jesse now - is it believable Walt suddenly feels bad and risks everything to save him?

he did seem to be cracking a bit near the end.

i agree tho it's a stretch, but i can't see jesse trying to hurt walt's family.

may as well go for the really grim ending where the nazis comprehensively win, why not.

the only reason i wouldn't mind seeing jesse come after walt's fam is because otherwise jesse and walt jr will never have had a scene together (iirc) and always thought that could've been amazing - too late now tho i guess

think walt will go after nazis just to get money back but end up teaming up reluctantly with jesse in the process. expecting some real gung-ho vengeance from jesse on nazis and todd somehow tho (but maybe a hollow victory), if not also to a lesser extent (not for want of trying) on walt.

There is no way he's coming back to "save Jesse". He's the reason why Jesse needed to be saved, he's not going to suddenly get a change of heart after 9 months just because it turns out he wasn't killed 8 months and 28 days earlier. It's some threat to Skyler/WaltJr/Holly/Marie that's forcing him to bring out the big guns.

jesse wouldn't kill em, just use the threat to flush out walt

idk, having him killed or even tortured and killed in short order is a lot different than nine months of meth slavery and abuse
