yes, but when i was an adolescent some boys in my school started snapping girls' bras and there had to be a special lecture given to the class about honoring the girls in the class. none of the boys were snapping the other boys' dicks or whatever.

s. clover, while i agree w/ the pov of your post i might suggest that your technique would be more emotionally satisfying for onlookers but probably less effective as a pedagogical tool in making very young immature men into respectful, socially acceptable results. have you ever told a 12yo to "not be an asshole?"

i've taught 12yos so i have some experience w/ teaching them. i don't think it was be effective, personally.

i mean the real thing to do would be to say A) if you do that you'll be punished B) here's why this is unpleasant to the victims and you acted badly and should feel badly C) if you did this as an adult in a professional environment your ass would be fired for harassment

I am perfectly fine with criticizing on ilx what I find to not be ideal when I am a lot more compromising in daily life

Yes. Women actors stop getting parts when they pass age 40, while 60 year old men still get cast as romantic leads, because that's what the audience demands, not because of the patriarchy, for gosh sakes.

my primary problem w/ the term 'patriarchy' is that it does very little explanatory lifting while making dumb ppl think they understand something about the way society operates
