Shall we anticipate the FIFTH SEASON of the AMC series "Breaking Bad"? I think I may.

I don't know, WW is using Skylar's maiden name as his alias in New Hampshire. That seems more like an improvised new identity than a pro job.

brio, Sunday, 15 September 2013 14:20 (twelve years ago)

true that would never be a thing done by the ultimate super-pro

socki (s1ocki), Sunday, 15 September 2013 14:23 (twelve years ago)

Don't forget, Walt likely lacks all his money, so he probably had to get a discount relocation guy.

Wonder what the chances are of tonight's ep skipping the end of the gunfight and just beginning with a funeral?

Josh in Chicago, Sunday, 15 September 2013 14:30 (twelve years ago)

can we have a new breaking bad poll on whether or not aaron paul will play a cop in a tv drama within two years
i feel like he might, & the kinda slightly more bulbous & rugged appearance this season marks a transition into eligibility to

@twitizensforlemonlipbalm (schlump), Sunday, 15 September 2013 18:47 (twelve years ago)

Maybe the super-disappearer guy won't be able to give Walt a new identity. The disappearance/death of Hank and/or Gomie could bring the DEA down on Saul (via Huell, now being held in a DEA safehouse, believing Saul was in on alter White's plot to murder him that Hank was trying to stop) - leading Saul to be unable or unwilling to help Walt. Or Walt breaks rule #1 of new identity guy and shows up high.

I just had an idea. Now, it's either the best idea ever, or the worst thought that has ever occurred during an non medicated manic episode. (and those are some bad ideas, trust me)

I was looking at the Bob's Burgers episode wiki, and I noticed there's a writer called Holly Schlesinger and it occurred to me: After the finale there should be a spinoff where Lydia from Breaking Bad marries Teddy from Bob's Burger. Thoughts?

BTW: Bob's Burger's really should have a different name. It's a nightmare of possessives.

Breaking Bad avoids that neatly (of course the only similarity, other that Holly Schlesinger's name is that I shorten them to BB and get them confused)

The answer is "the worst thought that has ever occurred during an non medicated manic episode. (and those are some bad ideas, trust me)" isn't it? It's okay, I'm gonna go ask the mods to ban me again. Unfortunately, they seldom listen. :(

that post was honestly no worse than half the speculation itt

That's what I figured. (smiles and winks, quietly goes back to reading a book)

I know I'm joining this thread late but:

No way to prepare you for tonight's #BreakingBad. No joking, this is world-class filmmaking on every level. (And you'll shit your pants.)

walt is an internet commenter right here

seriously, THIS GUY (daria-g), Monday, 16 September 2013 01:57 (twelve years ago)

blame skyler for everything

you know the people who've been saying this all along won't get the point

cuz they hate women

first I think it's time I kick a little verse! (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Monday, 16 September 2013 01:59 (twelve years ago)

i don't mean all internet commenters obviously but the disproportionate hate/blame for skyler
some interview where gilligan's talking about how he doesn't understand this phenomenon, how people can still root for walt

seriously, THIS GUY (daria-g), Monday, 16 September 2013 02:01 (twelve years ago)

it also makes me think that in that flash forward where walt is apparently coming back to go after someone, who do you think it is. skyler probably

yeah I would guess something happens which flicks some light of humanity back on and he decides to save Jesse

off to the asmr thread brb.

Holy fuck

One burly voice screamed and that was one of many. (forksclovetofu), Monday, 16 September 2013 02:07 (twelve years ago)

just the moment when it was clear that he knew the cops were there and this was his one and only chance to save skyler from prison and the over the top abusive monologue and the moment where she gets what he's trying to tell her, absolutely flabbergasting

One burly voice screamed and that was one of many. (forksclovetofu), Monday, 16 September 2013 02:09 (twelve years ago)

Gutted. Is all I can say.

Neanderthal, Monday, 16 September 2013 02:10 (twelve years ago)

alls I can say is 'relief' was all I felt when Walt left the house with nobody dead, cuz for a moment I thought Skyler was going to bite it.

Neanderthal, Monday, 16 September 2013 02:11 (twelve years ago)

after what just happened what would indicate the show is headed toward some light of humanity to flick back on? what will it take to not be looking for some redemption for walt?

it's gonna be 00:01 from the end of the series and lots of folks will still be expecting him to do something good I suppose

seriously, THIS GUY (daria-g), Monday, 16 September 2013 02:12 (twelve years ago)

cranston did a new yorker piece recently where he said that his goal with the show is to keep people believing there's hope for walt's redemption right up until the credits on the last episode roll so yeah, that's the endgame there

One burly voice screamed and that was one of many. (forksclovetofu), Monday, 16 September 2013 02:13 (twelve years ago)

i teared up in this motherfucker!

One burly voice screamed and that was one of many. (forksclovetofu), Monday, 16 September 2013 02:13 (twelve years ago)

All of the imperfections of the prior episodes....God, this episode kinda like the feeling you get when you see a stroller rolling into oncoming traffic. so well done but.....bloody fuck, this isn't like the Gus Fring arc where you can go "AWWWW, BADASS" when zombie Gus falls over. I'm going to need a shower after the finale.

Kind of surprised they already got to the "calling Saul's guy" bit with two eps left.

Neanderthal, Monday, 16 September 2013 02:13 (twelve years ago)

I don't see any reason for him to come back other than vengeance or trying to save someone, and why would anyone hit his family? xp

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 16 September 2013 02:14 (twelve years ago)

the anxiety in Walt Jr's voice ....;_;

Neanderthal, Monday, 16 September 2013 02:14 (twelve years ago)

and we just saw him attempt to surrender instead of having Hank hit by the Nazis, so it's not like he's Ted Bundy xxp

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 16 September 2013 02:15 (twelve years ago)

re the relief that Walt left the house with no one else dead, yeah, I had Walt Jr pegged for an intervention that ended with him falling on the knife.

Distance and a rewatch will allow me more perspective, I'm sure, but right now I'm feeling that this was Haneke-esque in being tense and masterfully made and not in any sense a positive experience.

Waluigi Nono (Merdeyeux), Monday, 16 September 2013 02:16 (twelve years ago)

Wow - I didn't get that as Walt trying to save Skylar from prison ... I see it now that you mention it, but after the knife fight and the babysnatching and sending Jesse off to be tortured, it seemed pretty on the lev. Need to watch that scene again

brio, Monday, 16 September 2013 02:17 (twelve years ago)

Mitte finally came into his own as an actor in this one, unless I missed some awesomeness in seasons 2 and 3.

WmC, Monday, 16 September 2013 02:18 (twelve years ago)

xxpost neo-nazis all like "America's done lost its way, used to be you could kill a DEA agent without your meth cook weeping about how he's family for an hour"

Neanderthal, Monday, 16 September 2013 02:18 (twelve years ago)

He was totally saving Skyler from prison with that phone call, well played by both of them.

WmC, Monday, 16 September 2013 02:19 (twelve years ago)

well it was pretty obvious he knew the cops were there - Walter Jr was on the phone with them before he even left, and of course he shredded the phone right after. and he was weeping the whole time. it wasn't as clear initially but yeah it was definitely a strategic call, not a "lol meth dear john" call.

Neanderthal, Monday, 16 September 2013 02:20 (twelve years ago)

so with the Nazis having 70 million dollars, the hell is it so important for them to have Jesse cook now? I mean that's more than they'd make w/ Madrigal. could lay low for a while.

also, what muscle does Lydia have to enforce it? been wondering that since last week. if the Nazi punks tell her to fuck off, does she have enforcers that we haven't seen that can come in and force them?

Neanderthal, Monday, 16 September 2013 02:22 (twelve years ago)

Remember when you used to tell people to watch Breaking Bad and they were like "is it like Weeds?" lol
