i was terrified, but when they started firing 100s of rounds without hitting anything the tension kinda dissipated for me

yeah they could have done this a touch better if i'm being picky

credits as walt's glasses were falling off brought the realness back though

i like the way they reserve especially sinister music for the truly sinister scenes, i mean in the context of a show that's fairly dark all the time.

i could kinda see a callback to walt saving jesse from the dealers happening now where jesse, piqued by being called a coward, drives the car into the nazis

maybe that's too ~on the nose~ idk

either that or hank only gets shot in the leg or some bullshit and they all get taken hostage so walt can be chemistry macgyver again

I think this is what's happening unfortunately.

i guess jesse could die in the next ep, as a sort of curveball.

Can see Gomie getting killed and Jesse haring off in the car with Hank bleeding in it.

One of the few things we know is that there's no one involved in the shootout who can risk Walt getting killed so maybe he'll do something really insane like just walking out into the middle of it.

Assuming he's not locked in the car obviously.

End of next episode has to at least be the setup to the flash-forward I would think so you basically have two hours to end this. Otherwise it seems like they won't have enough time to set up the flash-forward and then do whatever is needed to do to get the pieces where they need to be for whatever final showdown is going to occur.

I feel like they've set up Hank dying now so I wouldn't be shocked to see him and Gomie get it plus I don't see what more Hank can contribute to the story.

idk hank is a p huge moral component of the show, it's a bit more than crossing off an exhausted narrative device

i know it seems all set up for it but i would still be quite shocked

I'm also thinking that all the pieces are in play now. Be very surprised to see more Madrigal or whomever pop up. Basically it's Walt, Jesse, Hank/Marie, Skyler/Walt's family, Nazis/Lydia and whatever drama is about to occur is going to be between those players.

Been enjoying the show from the start, and always willing to suspend disbelief, but I'm not sure how down I am with yet another deus ex Nazi. Those rewatching, did any of these highly organized, highly militarized knuckleheads merit even a passing mention before Todd offered that his uncle had the capability to off 10 Federal witness in a synchronized prison hit?

Want to know if the show is messing with us. As soon as Hank told Gomie "you stay here," I told my wife, oh, he;s a goner. And then Hank calls Marie and tells he he loves her, and I thought, oh, Hank must be a goner. I guess Gomie is really the only one the show can afford to knock off with impunity. The others are more important moral cogs. Unless Hank buys it, and Skyler suddenly turns off the weekend warrior Lady MacBeth act.

hank will get it, gomie survives to put skyler & son in witness protection, jesse shacks up with marie (nb may not occur), walt escapes but is hunted for the recipe, per flashforward plots redemptive vigilante vengeance on nazis and/or madrigal, succeeds, dies, the end

maybe they are just criminals with swastika tattoos.

ya this is my understanding based on inscisive msnbc documentary films, they are m/l just a prison gang

If they have swastikas on their necks and have organized connections in prison, they are probably implied to be Aryan brotherhood, no mere prison gang but more like a white power mafia. The thing is, if these guys are openly branded Nazis, kill people all the time with impunity, amass massive automatic weapon stores and have ties to violent associates/criminals in prison, then I find it hard to believe they are not being monitored/watched by the Feds 24/7. They are literally as conspicuous as it gets.

Since I'm guessing they are not going with the obvious outcome of this gunfight, I'm going to guess that Hank dies and Gomie lives.

That way, Walt pays the price for something he's done (i.e. someone from his family dying) but he's still got someone from the DEA after him who knows everything.

Speaking as a dude who deals w/plenty of bikers and creepy dudes via the music industry, I think some of you are overrating the likelihood that swastika/bolts tattoos rocket you to the top of the FBI watch list.

nah i think this will happen too mostly because its the only thing I remember Walt yelling about in his driving rant.

Maybe Jesse saves Walt or maybe Hank and Walt and squishes the Nazi's with the exception of our favorite li'l opie hitler, who then commences a chilled out warpath true to his sociopathic self.

Walt drove into two guys on foot, and came speeding at them out of nowhere. Jesse has to turn the car around, back up to get some speed, and drive directly at a pickup full of Nazis with machine guns. Don't think it works.

Jesse might be able to do something to help hank and gomie and walt - but ramming his car into the Nazis seems like an unwise

if the next episode turns into Jesse biffing Nazis with a supercar and Marie chatting with Charlie Rose it will be a huge bummer
