In campaign office listening to printer print 442 pages of turf sheets which we'll then divvy up into packets (all these new words). Eating rotisserie chicken family-style and drinking Bud from the landlady's fridge, actually all in all pretty good.

Tottenham Heelspur (in orbit), Saturday, 7 September 2013 00:29 (twelve years ago)

also I discovered that Winco sells funsize m&m's in bulk which is O_O gamechanger

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Saturday, 7 September 2013 00:39 (twelve years ago)

how many of them did you buy? i have a coke.

markers, Saturday, 7 September 2013 00:55 (twelve years ago)

I bought a pound of them - they are good snacks to take to football games for when the beer wears off but you can't be assed getting up and buying anything

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Saturday, 7 September 2013 00:58 (twelve years ago)

markers, Saturday, 7 September 2013 02:38 (twelve years ago)

Thinking about things. Wishing I had a fruit salad like the ones they made at the Peppermill in Vegas. Wishing I had caught every single lounge act I wanted to catch when I was there in 2001 and 2002. Loving August falling asleep next to me. Ready to watch Hannah and Her Sisters.

*tera, Saturday, 7 September 2013 03:10 (twelve years ago)

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Saturday, 7 September 2013 06:36 (twelve years ago)

i celebrated the completion of my MA last night by whacking a pizza in the oven for me and my housemate, sitting on our roof with a few cans of Lidl's lager followed by dirt cheap Kalimoxtos and then ice cream. Then her boyfriend came over so i went to my room, drank a bit more, signed up to Netflix, spent an hour looking at things I thought I might want to watch before watching ten minutes of an ESPN documentary on Andres/Pablo Escobar before falling asleep. Top stuff.

had to push back dinner plans tonight and this forced my friend to cancel because, as he said, he said he "can't eat after sundown." was really weirded out until i realized that he was observing yom kippur.

zingon grammar (Treeship), Saturday, 14 September 2013 02:41 (twelve years ago)

i made red lentils with veg bacon. it would be vegan if not for the huge hunk of butter.

red sobule (get bent), Saturday, 14 September 2013 03:20 (twelve years ago)

Yo

quincie, Saturday, 14 September 2013 04:45 (twelve years ago)

Tonight I violated one of my cooking rules and now I am grumpy.

quincie, Saturday, 14 September 2013 04:45 (twelve years ago)

what was the rule?

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Saturday, 14 September 2013 04:53 (twelve years ago)

The rule is to pass over recipes that require one to manipulate each and every unit. Tonight's case: meatballs. With the exact same ingredients, I cold have made a tasty ragu/bolognese with 1/24 the hassle. See also: Sandra Lee cookie recipes, which has you use canned cookie dough, then have to handle each fucking cookie multiple times for various types of pre-made icing and decorations and shit.

I'm experienced enough as a cook that I should know better than this. I *do* know better than this, which is why I have a rule. Which I failed to follow. GAH.

quincie, Saturday, 14 September 2013 05:01 (twelve years ago)

:(

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Saturday, 14 September 2013 05:05 (twelve years ago)

sleepingbag, Saturday, 21 September 2013 00:08 (twelve years ago)

markers, Saturday, 21 September 2013 01:16 (twelve years ago)

I left the North again
I travelled South again

markers, Saturday, 28 September 2013 02:36 (twelve years ago)

mr veg cooking hamburgers for dinner
am about to watch The Soup
and then at 9pm I will be listening to 2 comedians do a live radio broadcast of the AFL grand final of australian football because they're not televising it anywhere that I can watch for free and I get so fucking tired of trolling the web for streams that aren't full of malware, and footy on the radio gives me major nostalgia so it's all good

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Saturday, 28 September 2013 02:40 (twelve years ago)

who's playing/who are we rooting for

mookieproof, Saturday, 28 September 2013 02:41 (twelve years ago)

Hawks and Fremantle *shrug*

I'm rooting (lol) for the Hawks but only because they're the melbourne team and I'm still kinda jingoistic about out-of-state teams, even though the league has been Australia-wide for decades

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Saturday, 28 September 2013 02:53 (twelve years ago)

i'm sick with a cold and my bf went out to get me matzoh ball soup. he is a hero.

the cure is worse than the frizz-ease (get bent), Saturday, 28 September 2013 02:55 (twelve years ago)

what a guy! srsly, that is love

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Saturday, 28 September 2013 02:55 (twelve years ago)

who is your team? should i have said 'supporting'? i thought you were from melb

will the woman end judge/ref/umpire/whatever be involved? basically all i know of aussie rules comes from the mid 80s when espn could not yet afford other things

mookieproof, Saturday, 28 September 2013 02:57 (twelve years ago)

my team is carlton, they bombed out a while back

majority of AFL teams originate from suburbs of melbourne, back when it was the VFL. sydney was the first out of state team in the 80's. there's quite a few out of state teams now.

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Saturday, 28 September 2013 03:10 (twelve years ago)

lady umpire was in last year, but i dunno if she's in the lineup this year
