i like their tuna salad wraps, even if i sometimes pick out the cherry tomatoes. i wish i could stock up on them, but, you know, fish.

I had the frozen Chicken Tikka Masala today which was like okay enough I guess but it was only four small pieces of chicken drowning in a pool of sauce!

The Chicken Verde Burritos returned to my TJs two weeks ago.

But then last week they were out again.

The saga continues.

their kettle corn isn't terrible -- maybe too salty? something's slightly off but man I can eat a handful of it, regardless

their frozen naan is better than some I've been served at a restaurant. broiler on low setting works best/quickest.

Highly recommend a piece of naan with it (for sopping up sauce), unless you hate carbs.

There is a Fall Harvest Blend tea with a fox on the box, which I am guessing is the fall answer to Lemur Tea. It's good! Herbal, no caffeine. I got weird and put a little milk in it (no stevia, though, I'm not a total psychopath) and it works nicely.

Also our TJs was selling a three pack of purse-sized tubs of hand cream for $7.99. They look like L'occitane dupes, so I bought them. They aren't as rich as L'occitane's shea butter hand cream, which is the one I would always buy if I were wealthy, but they are great for the price. Recommended.

got a two foot long stalk of brussel sprouts for $2.99

that's about as much as they are in the plastic bag and it's totally worth it just for the crazy looks i got from everyone while holding it walking around the store and then with it sticking out of my bag on the bus ride home:

TJ's is the only place I've ever seen sprouts on the stalk! I didn't even know they grew that way before I started shopping there. So bizarre and enjoyable.

I've seen sprouts-on-the-stalk at Fairway too. Can you do anything w/the stalk? Like make uh stock?

xxp they probably don't, they probably just adhere them to the stalk to look quirky

the stalk is pretty dense and fibrous but I'd imagine it wouldn't hurt to throw it in a stock with other veggies

i'll probably just throw it in the compost

i've been waiting forever for the sprouts stalks to come back

the first TJ's in South Florida caused a mob scene in the parking lot last Saturday, with local businesses towing cars when TJ customers used business spaces.

I'm so excited guys to go there today and buy lots of things. (I've been in a cooking rut and using up ingredients lately so pre-made food is p special.)

ALL THE SPROUTS!1112! Although how I'll get them home by bike is a separate problem.

i'm sad because i bought a bag of sprouts from TJ's last week, for probably the same price, and their selling point was that they were 'microwaveable in the bag'

I think it was 乒乓 in this thread who called the brussels sprouts stalk the most noise of all vegetables, which for some reason has stuck with me.

I end up buying a lot of TJ's sprouts in a bag because I like sprouts and they are right there, but I always wash, trim and roast them so their steam-in-bag aspect is wasted on me. Plus the thought of eating a steamed brussels sprout is so gross to me.

Dill? Hmm. Perhaps.

I go the OO and balsamic route, in the oven until the outer leaves crisp. Or in a skillet with garlic, although it's hard to keep the garlic from burning in the amt of time the sprouts take to get a crust on them.

My special occasion sprouts are sauteed in browned butter and are soooooo good. They are a sometimes food, though.

went to the TJs here and no dice. ugh. come to think of it the last time i saw them at a TJ was at a TJ in the midwest. maybe we just don't get those out here on the east coast

We've had them! I've gotten them! Not this year though.
