I'm up to season 4 on netflix (I've seen most of them, just not in order). Sweet Dee has a Heart Attack is an A++ episode.

dan selzer, Friday, 6 September 2013 04:27 (twelve years ago)

the private jet company was called 'jet rich' which is on some simpsons s4/30 rock s1 shit imo

rest of the episode was p w/e, maybe the worst dee-centric episode theyve done

im a bogbrew bitch (Lamp), Friday, 6 September 2013 05:56 (twelve years ago)

finally watched this weeks. That was special. I'm a bit dense because I didn't get it at first. I thought it wasn't that funny. Then when they were sitting in Sudz it suddenly made sense and the episode got better and better.

dan selzer, Friday, 20 September 2013 02:51 (twelve years ago)

I didn't get it at all until I read a review afterwards! I was just sitting there thinking "some of these jokes seem oddly stilted"

Dan I., Friday, 20 September 2013 03:12 (twelve years ago)

It almost makes you wonder, will they or won't they get together? I want to come back next week to find out!

dan selzer, Friday, 20 September 2013 03:14 (twelve years ago)

slayed

lag∞n, Friday, 20 September 2013 03:18 (twelve years ago)

i thought the stuff at sudz was kinda too on-the-nose but the end of the episode was fucking awesome

man this show

Lamp, Thursday, 10 October 2013 04:50 (twelve years ago)

btw, the waitress was on last week's Brooklyn 99 and Dennis was on The Mindy Project, and looks like he might be starting an arc as a potential boyfriend. He's playing an asshole lawyer, a real stretch.

dan selzer, Thursday, 10 October 2013 05:05 (twelve years ago)

i love that they just had charlie up his house. i love franks. man, this show is on fire at the moment.

Show has really grown on me. Great assessment in the New Yorker.

Basically underscoring this show's consistency, intelligence, subversiveness and the like, while also noting how under the radar it's essentially remained.

Josh in Chicago, Friday, 8 November 2013 20:32 (twelve years ago)

it is weird to me that so few people watch/know about it. I'm always surprised when friends have never heard of it.

Was just in Philly, and there was a pretty visible "Sunny" souvenir presence in the airport. Like being the setting of the show is something to be proud of!

Rewatching season 3 right now, didn't realise first time round quite how beautifully plotted some of the episodes are! The best ones have three or four different interweaving storylines, all of which are resolved without feeling rushed, all in less than 25 minutes. The mafia two-parter is pretty much a masterpiece in this regard.

the joke should be over once the kid is eaten. (chap), Tuesday, 9 December 2014 02:32 (eleven years ago)

one month passes...

no one saw season premier last night...?
