what particularly creeped me out after reading this was that I had unconsciously removed my wedding ring and put it on my desk. then i looked down from this comic and saw it sitting there.

I reread the books a few months back. When it was on, it was glorious. There's so much of it to revisit too. Though I guess those Dark Horse reprints are finished now.

my friend tried to explain who he saw at the bar and his description was "that guy who looks like a real life lyle from achewood"
I got it in the first guess. It was a dude who used to be a tattoo artist working next door to the bar!

I read a good chunk of it until I gave up hope and bailed on it. It seemed to me he was trying much too hard to write comically, rather like a stand-up comic who constantly inserts long pauses in the story in order to pull a 'funny' face and stare at the audience, begging for laughter.
― a little too mature to be cute (Aimless), Wednesday, 30 November 2016 02:57 (nine years ago)
Every time I relate to Onstad he throws out some bit of internal cruelty or half-recanted aloofness for the human condition that turns me off until the next moment, the point where someone gets mad rutty with a bank teller
