jesse has only himself to blame, regardless of what walt did or didn't do. iirc she was clean and sober for a year and his junkie ass brought her back to the bottom of the hole she struggled so hard to get out of.

there was a moment when walt's presence flickered back into conversation, though, wasn't there; perhaps it was something mike said?, like he mentioned getting there & noticing whatever it was that betrayed walt's presence - like something about a window that was smashed?, or covered?, i forget - & they let a beat pass to underline the tension, the flicker of possibility that jesse could figure out that something had changed, didn't jive with the story. i don't think all of these things they toy with are going to receive closure, but they for sure left roads open for them to come up again. (sorry that my total lack of recall as to what actually happened undermines this reasoning btw, i am going off sense memory here).

Regardless, I think if someone spills gas all over your house you pretty much have to get out and close it off anyway.

Pretty sure that standing there fully capable of saving his girlfriend's life and not doing it would entitle Jesse to be a bit homicidal. Whether he actually murdered her or not is irrelevant.

I'm not sure why they would bother spending any of the remaining time giving Jesse more reasons to want to kill Walt - they've done that now, we know Jesse is on the warpath.

walt had already smashed the door in to get the meth stash, jesse had only covered it over with cardboard so walt was able to get back in easily. (i can't quite remember why he went back the second time - maybe to apologise for having been such a jerk to jesse?) the cardboard was hanging off of the door and mike noticed it, but didn't say anything.

That would be a great line for someone to take when faced with currently enraged, gun-toting, gas-spilling Jesse. "Stop, Jesse - it's all your fault! Now put down the gun and give me a hug."

jesse's being all the hardman now swinging the gun around but does he really have it in him to outright murder walt? has he killed anyone but gale? a couple of guys at the cartel villa i suppose, he doesn't seem too bothered about them.

I think if Jesse were really intending to kill Walt he'd go and get a gun and just take him out, he wouldn't bother trying to burn the house down first. He's angry but not quite over the edge yet.

I'd be amazed if the Jane thing didn't come up - it's the biggest betrayal between the two central characters and a huge dramatic thread to just leave hanging.

I dunno what's hanging about it - there was the whole plane crash thing, Jesse moved on and got another gf+kid... it doesn't feel like a loose end to me

i mean it's the single biggest betrayal of jesse by walt and the choice he made there was also probably the exact moment when walt started on the road to where he is now.

from a narrative perspective the drive of the entire series is to have walt's sins come to light and jane's death is at #2 with a bullet

i guess my confusion about the flower poisoning "stems" from the fact that the scene played it like jesse thought brock was poisoned by ricin, but i guess the anger is bc he realized walt had the ricin stolen to mislead jesse and argh you're right just gonna go with it.

plus jesse was already convinced walt had poisoned brock and walt talked him out of it. figuring out that walt's been manipulating him all along and then learning walt arranged to secretly have the cig taken from him validated his initial instinct.

walt is a schemeaholic itd be cool if they gave us a flashback to some of his precriminal schemes

how Jesse can figure that all out while he's baked is beyond me

plus jesse knew about all the awful shit walt did/instigated/shrugged off (killing gale, killing gus, killing mike's men, killing mike, todd killing the kid), but he always remained willfully ignorant of the implications. perhaps he assumed he was exempt from such dealings, and now he's come to the conclusion that he is not.

I don't think Jesse feels "exempt" from any dealings. He seems to be the character most aware of the toll things have taken on him. Except maybe Hank. Both are in sort of a PTSD haze.

And of course, Hank actually suffers from PTSD, so he's totally aware the toll violence has taken on him. Skyler no doubt feels exempt, because Walt has repeatedly assured her that she is (sucker). And Walt's ego tells him he is morally exempt, too, which is why the bad stuff doesn't weigh on him at all. All about him.
