getting ready for Easter for kids tomorrow (baskets, gifts, candy, etc.) and probably going to read in my gerontology textbook. My class doesn't even start until Thursday night and I already have homework - so I feel your pain, other homework-doers. Hang in there.

Cable at my parents house isn't even fun because I can't drink or turn the volume to any reasonable level and if I'm up late I get yelled at. Way to feel 12, me

I can't drink because my mom thinks I'm an alcoholic. Also, a painting fell of the wall onto my head. My mom came into my bedroom (without knocking; I had my headphones on and scared the shit out of me -- thanks for the privacy!) and informed me that it happened to my grandma too and she wasn't planning on moving it to somewhere it won't fall. Thanks a lot.

i am watching movies on my laptop becz kid somehow broke the dvd player in his obsessive eagerness to watch happy feet for the 75th time. i am also drinking wine. nothing has fallen on my head, so i guess i can't complain.

tipsy mothra, Sunday, 23 March 2008 05:23 (sixteen years ago) link

jon maybe she knocked and you didnt know because you had headphones on

J0rdan S., Sunday, 23 March 2008 05:24 (sixteen years ago) link

There is something missing in that story. (xp)

libcrypt, Sunday, 23 March 2008 05:24 (sixteen years ago) link

i have abandoned any idea of homework and am also watching movie on laptop, but drinking bourbon instead of wine.

tehresa, Sunday, 23 March 2008 05:26 (sixteen years ago) link

I think it may be required to obtain a wee nip of scotch tomorrow, since my dwellings are entirely scotch-free tonight.

libcrypt, Sunday, 23 March 2008 05:28 (sixteen years ago) link

I think I'm officially sick of gin.

libcrypt, Sunday, 23 March 2008 05:30 (sixteen years ago) link

Catsupppppppppppppp dude 茄蕃, Sunday, 23 March 2008 05:57 (sixteen years ago) link

saw "snow angels," explored the upscale family-friendly bleakness of downtwon bethesda, now drinking tea and looking up "scottsboro boys" and "catamite" on wikipedia

El Tomboto, Sunday, 23 March 2008 05:58 (sixteen years ago) link

worked but my mom came to the show and i got to show her backstage. i sat in my booth at the back of the floor with these three druuuuuuunk people who tried to talk about kandinsky and post-Balanchine american choreography but mostly had to focus on trying not to fall out of their chairs

jergïns, Sunday, 23 March 2008 06:01 (sixteen years ago) link

snow angeles kind of interesting, no?

remy bean, Sunday, 23 March 2008 06:09 (sixteen years ago) link

it is the kind of thing i would write if i were homesick

remy bean, Sunday, 23 March 2008 06:09 (sixteen years ago) link

snow angels was pretty good. it reminded me a little bit of bubble and a little bit of the ice storm. all of 'em have the problem of "well here's this slice of desperate unhappiness in the middle of the richest country in the world, but the narrative structure requires a body count."

El Tomboto, Sunday, 23 March 2008 06:14 (sixteen years ago) link

like the only storyline anybody ever thinks we want to hear or read or see about flyover country is la mort surprise

went with pp and kid to outback to immerse her in the closest thing weve got to australian culture (ha). heard myself pronouncing aussie as "ossie" instead of "ozzie" when ordering the "aussie chips", which were really bad. ordered steak medium and got medium rare which is exactly the outcome i anticipated. came home, put the kid to bed. got the rest of the tags on gta:sa, won 12:1 longshot at offtrack betting on the first try then failed five times at the bmx challenge before giving up. read infantcide thread and considered hipstercide (justifiable on grounds of social retardation obv) and now its 1:31am and pp is about to make cj jump off a really tall los santos skyscraper sans parachute. oh wait, he put the parachute on.

sunny successor, Sunday, 23 March 2008 06:35 (sixteen years ago) link

outback steakhouse is always a concession meal, but it is one i have found myself making more than once a year

remy bean, Sunday, 23 March 2008 06:39 (sixteen years ago) link

watched "1408" with visiting high school friend and some other people, heard some really intense gossip about said friend (actually pretty exciting saturday night for me)

31g, Sunday, 23 March 2008 06:44 (sixteen years ago) link

the best things on outback's menu are the burgers

El Tomboto, Sunday, 23 March 2008 06:46 (sixteen years ago) link

i didnt even see the burgers. i asked for the ribeye. i probably wouldnt have if id known the waitress would sit herself down in the booth between beatrice and I to tell me how they have three types of ribeye - ribeye, chargrilled ribeye and the limited edition 20th anniversary 24 hour marinated flame grilled ribeye.

it reminded me of this old man sitting in the booth next to us a few years ago at ihop. he looked 90 something and like the clock was about to run out. he asked for pancakes and the waitress started with the "blueberry? strawberry?" "PANCAKES" "with eggs? bacon? ham?". looking at his wife "I JUST WANT PANCAKES." I think about that guy all the time.

anyway, i really like that weird bread they have at outback. a butter knife wouldnt go astray though.

sunny successor, Sunday, 23 March 2008 07:02 (sixteen years ago) link

here the real question: do the burgers have sliced beets on them?

sunny successor, Sunday, 23 March 2008 07:11 (sixteen years ago) link

if by 'beets' you mean 'fingernails' then 'yes'

remy bean, Sunday, 23 March 2008 07:15 (sixteen years ago) link

Completely fucked-up sleep schedule here, must have been due to the work week and my damn alarm being on this morning for no good reason -- I spent nearly all the time between 5 pm and now asleep and now feel restless. Bah.

Hay u guyz

Don't get paid 'til Monday, mates and gf all out on piss, having some popcorn to cheer me up. Could have borrowed £50, but this will only mean being short again this time next month. Feels weird, cause I always at least go to the local spoonies.

What's your excuse?
