well clearly he bailed on whatever he had going on up in new hampshire, whether it be witness protection or being on the lam. It's so hard to explain what exactly he'd come back for, and what he'd need a gigantic machine gun for, which is why the two flash forwards have been so boss (sorry forks)

agree that the mysterious dreamy flash forwards re plane crash were kinda wack but thats a diff type of thing from what theyre doing now which is more just a common way to tell the story

rewatched S2 recently and while the openers were well done the plane thing is still hoo boy

you know what i like about lydia is that she basically acts like i would if i got mixed up in a criminal conspiracy, there's no way i could just be chill or tough about it, i would be freaked out and paranoid all the time

my one main complaint about this show is how lame/poorly written all the female characters are

lydia was cooler when she was standing up to walt and negotiating her way out of certain death, now she's getting dissed by skyler

can't believe that Walt got into bed with his dressing gown just lying in a ball at the bottom of it, that savagery is the final straw imo.

Shi'ar is having a solid run of good moments; after that full series run i was shocked how much her face changed. Definitely some plastic surgery? Or was she pregnant? I generally don't care about this stuff but her emotiveness and acting switched out sometime in s4 when her whole face changed

joeks aside I think skyrim is a p complex & accurate rendering of a person

Holly is a pretty one-dimensional character tbh

she had some work done iirc but its timing coincided perfectly w/ her becoming as psychotically cold blooded as her husband

skylar reminds me a bit of my Mom when I was growing up, seems p well fleshed out for a woman in her situation. I've never had a problem with her portrayal ~as a woman~ etc

I feel like her whole arc is lame retread of Carmela Soprano, more or less

Marie doesn't really have an arc. Lydia is a series of tics.

that goes for a lot of the male characters too tho. what's badger's arc, or saul's? marie's back on auto-pilot but the whole klepto breakdown was more of an arc than some of the male characters have gotten.

I don't remember much of carmela's arc aside from some dalliance w/ a priest, but comparing the skygur of S1 to the one who told ted to keep his f'kn mouth shut demonstrates a pretty good arc

like in S1 I was certain if she ever found out about walt then that was it for them and she'd prolly get whacked for blabbing but her character has evolved far and credibly imo
