xxp to whiney, maybe it should go without saying, but i don't think those posts you pulled out for being particularly egregious are bad at all. the last two -- about the media pandering to people, and the public's shitty taste being a self-fulfilling prophecy because boring, formulaic stuff is all that is really marketed to them -- are things i agree with, even though i suspect (knowing your deal from youtube etc) that you don't think that way.
