I don't know! The whole heart attack emergency thing today has kind of put me off the idea of smoking more than 4, so they may last until tomorrow evening, which is when I'll want another one.

i have a few boozes, which are tempting, but i'm getting hung over more and more easily as of late. had a glass and a half of brandy last night, pounding headache before i even went to bed.

tonight, sick, have a wedding to drive to tmr, if i'm not any better might not go.

I've been lamenting the hardships of getting older elsewhere on here, but one huge benefit I realize because of your comment now is: I don't get drunk anymore. Alcohol tolerance goes up so much with age, for me. Half decent.

CUT THE CORD

i did laundry and made food for a party i'm hosting tomorrow. that way i can concentrate on a quick spot of last-minute housecleaning right before people show up.

the menu is:

brisket tacos (slow-cooker style, with tomatoes, yellow and red bell peppers, guajillo chile powder, garlic, onion, mustard seeds, and a four-peppercorn blend)

baked mac & cheese with a panko & crumbled pumpernickel-pretzel crust

grilled corn on the cob

watermelon aguas frescas with loads of honey and fresh lime juice

nothing much for dessert, but i bought two kinds of cookies.

i'll be right over! yum!

just got back from walgreen's, where i got a vanilla coke, which will hopefully fix my mood

I get to make small talk w/ gf's coworkers out in the burbs tonight, which let me tell you, I definitely excel at.

sweet. i can't wait until i adjust my lifestyle -- in the works -- to one where i am forced to make small talk with strangers often because i am pretty good at that too.
