The best movies I've seen this year were Annie Hall, Zoolander, Fight Club, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, the Bad News Bears, the Empire Strikes Back, and You Got Served.

Rescue Me, Nip/Tuck, and Dead Like Me just ended their seasons, so the only show really grabbing me right now is Lost. I've been downloading episodes of Fastlane since it looks like the DVD set for that will probably not come out until just after He's The Mayor does.

The best books I've read this year were Bridge of Birds, It Must've Been Something I Ate, The Whole Beast, The Box Man, Ball Four, Things Fall Apart, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, and the conclusion of the Dark Tower series.

I don't think I have any favorite actors or actresses.

On a scale from 1-10 how would you rate your personality?:  If I'm passionately angry -- a zero. If I'm thinking rationally -- an eight, maybe.
Add anything you want people to know:  I am a huge fan of riding rollercoasters. I haven't had a tumor-like flareup on my back in almost three years, which is cool. I'm alive, which is also cool. I used to be a huge '80s fanatic, when I was a stupid little teenybopper. I'm still insanely jealous of anyone who was a teenager in the early - mid '80s. And I live in a city filled with the most narrow-minded and macho "guys" ever to exist.

Fav Band: The Necks, YLT, Brotzmann Chicago Tentet, Electric Masada, depending

Fav Movie: Generally whatever I enjoyed most recently, which would make it The Incredibles. But I go back to Apocalypse Now fairly often.

Fav TV Show: The Brak Show, Lost.

Fav Book: Dhalgren

Fav Actor: Nobody recent, that's for sure. Probably Marlon Brando.

Fav Actress: Some days Helen Mirren, some days Myrna Loy.

Fav Food: Can't specify a dish, but favorite cuisines are Japanese and Vietnamese.

Fav Sport: BASEBALL

Fav Athlete: I'm down on individual athletes; most of them are spoiled overpaid children and Republicans to boot. Current athlete, Ichiro Suzuki. Historically...uh... Archie "Moonlight" Graham.

Drink of Choice: Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Lagavulin.

Drug of Choice (if that's your thing): See above. I've had and enjoyed stronger, but not enough to care whether I ever had it again.

Smoker? : No thanks. What a stupid delivery system for a high (nicotine or THC).

Occupation : Freelance graphic designer, magazine art director and wastrel.

Do you work out? : Sadly, no.

On a scale from 1-10 how would you rate your personality? : Usually 7 or 8, but that can plunge to negative numbers when I turn into The Micromanaging Control Freak.
