i loved it but harmony still doesnt seem to know how not to make an ending jarring. i loved the ambience of the film as a whole but when it got to the conclusion, it seemed to ruin the whole mood to try and create a proper narrative conclusion - seemed out of sync with the not-really-that-much-narrative feel of what came before. needs to play in a double bill with the bling ring (which is better btw)

man, the colours in this movie. and on its posters. and gifs. too good.

the whole final scene with the shootout is beautifully shot.

i loved this movie, and just after it came out the taxi driver thread got bumped and I was like "ah, makes sense" but the taxi driver revive was not about the last scene of this movie and I was like wut

I mean I'm not a sophisticated viewer but I thought the link between 2 films w obv fantasy violence endings was obv!

anyway yeas this is the best movie, i've seen it once with the sound on and like 5 times on mute

this was a mix of awesome and really tedious to me, that's kind of the harmony korine signature i guess.

kind of weird how the character played by korine's wife just kind of disappears periodically from the narrative w/ no real explanation

yeah, I agree with amateurist. movie was pretty boring in stretches but I still loved it

Most of my favorite movies the last few years have been really tedious in stretches -- this, Leviathan, Tree of Life, Consuming Spirits...

i kind of couldn't shake the feeling that director was a little more proud of this movie than he should be, but i guess that doesn't really matter

couldnt stand this, really surprised at some of the ppl itt riding for it

it's a great film but i'm not argue with people who don't get it, just heave a gentle sigh and shake my head and leave them to it
