yeah it's kinda funny to think back that FB at one time wasn't a place where you merely splattered memes all over your Timeline every day. hell even the "Like" feature didn't come around until 2009. I remember the early days where you'd put up a status and that was about it. were you able to comment on people's statuses originally? I joined in 2006 but didn't use it much until 2008.

I realize now how silly it is to say "the early days" about a website that's less than 10 years old

For what it's worth, I never see anything like this stuff on my feed. I think FB looks very different depending on your age. 40-year-olds don't meme, as far as I can tell.

well, my page doesn't look like that so much anymore because you can set settings by individual, so most of the people who used to put those shitty eCards up every day, I either unfollowed or limited to just status updates showing in my feed.
