I used to approach clothes as a political statement that basically said "I am going to try my best to look homeless so that you will not be prepared for when my intellect tears your head off"

Now the statement I try to make with my clothes is "I did laundry"

the main thing i know is that i look better with dark colors and get "washed out" by pastels.

Yeah, I decided that spending time around people who called women "bitches" was more trouble than it was worth, even if the core of ppl that I was friends with didn't do that--the wider group did. Plus the group msg board was practically wallpapered with swimsuit avatars and naked women in ppl's sig files and men calling other men pussies and I just couldn't.

I think the people I have for-real crushed on hard are ones that I have seldom approached, and then it builds to this crescendo of me skittering from the room or being super-awkward. Best to approach someone before it gets to that point and they're so super-human that they seem unattainable.

i think i've usually approached people i've had a crush on unless it seemed like a bad idea for a particular reason, but that was all so long ago i cd be wrong
