You mean other than England's performance in the Stanford 20-20 Super Series final?

Vitbe Is Good Bread (Tom D.), Tuesday, 17 February 2009 17:29 (seventeen years ago)

Harmison bowling fairly well atm beating the bat a few times. 86 mph which i think is the speed where he bowls best. But so far the west indies look like getting past the follow on. If they do that, they have a very good chance of not losing the series. Now as I say this harmison looking as if he is gonna be ill again. No sign of fred bowling. Think Broad is probably gonna get a bowl next replacing Harmison next over. Harmy looks ill.

He's the Cap'n Bob of cricket.

cant afford to be without harmison or fred but certainly not both. WI must fancy getting a draw now.

The User Formerly Known As Pfunkboy Latterly Known as.. (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 17 February 2009 17:31 (seventeen years ago)

Harmison off the field. Looks really ill. Fred's on but not the usual fiery fred. He's struggling. Hip injury apparently.

wont be surprised if this goes to 350-3

The User Formerly Known As Pfunkboy Latterly Known as.. (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 17 February 2009 17:49 (seventeen years ago)

games heading for a draw. Dunno why KP is bowling and Broad isn't. Why?

The User Formerly Known As Pfunkboy Latterly Known as.. (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 17 February 2009 17:50 (seventeen years ago)

a wicket or 2 now and games changed. KP isn't going to take wickets, he's just easy runs for 2 good batsmen.

The User Formerly Known As Pfunkboy Latterly Known as.. (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 17 February 2009 17:50 (seventeen years ago)

cant see where a wicket is going to come and you know who is still to bat

The User Formerly Known As Pfunkboy Latterly Known as.. (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 17 February 2009 17:59 (seventeen years ago)

well well. fred gets the edge. Hinds out. But sarwan looks in awesome form and guess who is in next.

The User Formerly Known As Pfunkboy Latterly Known as.. (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 17 February 2009 18:01 (seventeen years ago)

If we can get Chanderpaul out now, we should bundle them out for under 300 I think.

Good height too. Sarwan wouldve been a great wicket. He's playing very well. Will probably be made to regret that.

The User Formerly Known As Pfunkboy Latterly Known as.. (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 17 February 2009 18:29 (seventeen years ago)

Sarwan out on 94. He had a touch of the KP disease there. Tried to bring up his century with a 6 and hits straight to fred. He looks utterly disgusted with himself.

The User Formerly Known As Pfunkboy Latterly Known as.. (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 17 February 2009 19:29 (seventeen years ago)

new ball in 4 overs .

The User Formerly Known As Pfunkboy Latterly Known as.. (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 17 February 2009 19:34 (seventeen years ago)

Fred takes a few wkts to bowl WI out but clearly isnt fit. Really struggling so a remarkable effort by the big man. Harmison is clearly quite ill but bowled manfully too with decent pace (and making himself more sick in the process) was unlucky not to get a few wickets.
Not enforcing follow in since the bowlers arent fit. Botham and co are moaning like fuck but you cant blame strauss. Im sure they know more about how ill/injured they are than botham and willis in their comfy chairs.
Now lets hope england dont give away cheap wkts chasing quick runs. Add a quick 150 by lunch tomorrow is i assume the plan. Lets see what happens. Lose a couple tonight and batting again will have been the wrong decision.

Pfunkboy-Tom D . 1-1

Hogging the strike a bit there.

Umpires consistent with their (wrong) decisions. Shah hit on the foot infront of the stumps and given not out.

The User Formerly Known As Pfunkboy Latterly Known as.. (Herman G. Neuname), Wednesday, 18 February 2009 15:08 (seventeen years ago)

Pitch doesn't appear to have deteriorated

The User Formerly Known As Pfunkboy Latterly Known as.. (Herman G. Neuname), Wednesday, 18 February 2009 15:11 (seventeen years ago)

Shah out for 14. Eng 97-3. Things going slowly and I dont think England will have enough time to bowl out WI the way things are going. Pitch seems fine maybe a lil slow.

The User Formerly Known As Pfunkboy Latterly Known as.. (Herman G. Neuname), Wednesday, 18 February 2009 15:28 (seventeen years ago)

Hope KP is in better form. Need a lot of runs from him quickly.

dude, this is the most volatile and liable-to-crack team in world cricket* we're talking about here

*since Pakistan basically retired from the game

Herman, you're the most pessimistic cricket fan I've ever conversed with, and by the standards of English cricket fans that is really saying something!

zero learnt from nero (Neil S), Wednesday, 18 February 2009 15:55 (seventeen years ago)

I genuinely think this phase of play is the worst Test cricket I've ever seen :D

Freddie underlining my point beautifully there :D

when kp is on bowling the only thing you know is going to happen is that he gets hit around the ground. 10 off that over.

Anyone finding the sanctimony coming from the massed ranks of the British press over Stanford a little hard to take?

I always find Mihir Bose very hard to take, whatever he's talking about
