i like their siracha better than regular siracha

okay so the Carribean Fruit Floes are maybe the yummiest popsicles I've ever had. It's one of those products where you know you should try the other flavors but feel stupid buying them because you *know* that they cannot possibly be better or even nearly as good as the Carribean.

Still miss the chili mango floes every single day of my life.

minor complaint:
the coconut oil jar is too small to get my (rather small) hand inside after about 2/3 of the jar is gone. it's fine if you're using it for cooking (extracting with a spoon/kitchen implement) but if you're using it as a skin moisturizer
it's kind of a difft story. i'll keep buying it because i can scoop it into this other thing (talenti gelato container) but really i would rather not have to do that.

again, a minor complaint. it's $5.99 when a similar amt at a difft store is twice the cost. still, it's annoying.

I could not live with someone who moisturized with coconut oil - I'd be out all the time on macaroon and coconut cream pie runs.

That doesn't seem to be the case here. I think it only smells coconutty for a little bit. It's a great moisturizer!

These things oughta have their own thread. So super useful.

Not only that but the logo is so small that you can tape something decorative over it and it +/- looks like it's intentional. So far I've used them for bath salts (for the bath, not drugs) and coconut oil. But I can see storing all kinds of stuff in there. AND you get to eat a bunch of gelato.

avoid their smoky spicy peach salsa -- unless in your world salsa = jam

i pointed out to the checkout dude that simpler times beer looks like a grownup version of their pineapple juice (i was buying both at the same time, which looked kinda funny to me) and he claimed to have never noticed this

did they raise the prices of simpler times beer? I remember it being super cheap now it only seems mostly cheap

They also raised the price on the Name Tag beer to $3.49 (from $2.99) which gives Whole Foods bragging rights as they still have a $2.99 six-pack. (Cats living with dogs, yada, yada!)

Btw, the turkey burgers, xtra xtra sharp NY cheddar, and the British muffins combine to make the #1 burger experience, esp w some scallions thrown in.

I think their Salsa Verde is really good!!!

it's my go-to salsa, always fine with me. i usually dress it up with some chile powders for extra flavor, but two little bags of those last a really long time. i think i use guajillo and ancho?

they have been out of the chicken verde enchiladas both of the last times ive been there and it makes me want to kill

I am going to document TJ's lunch options (suggestions recommended!)

Reduced Guilt Baked Ziti: too much sauce, not enough cheese, tasted vaguely of crayons (more strange than disgusting), edible but not delicious.
The single-serve Mexican pizza thing: nothing groundbreaking but still pretty tasty, though if I bought it again I definitely wouldn't microwave it

I was hoping the Reduced Guilt line was more healthy-but-tasty instead of bland diet food but it seems to be more the latter than the former

I also bought the bags of frozen pasta you cook for dinner bcz they are p cheap per serving and it's like two lunches worth for $3. I shall report back!

i like the green chili tamales and the mexican quiche but they are both pretty unhealthy

The quiche is v good but I feel like I'm not getting as much food as I'd want a $2.29 frozen something to provide

I'm heading on a trip that may not have coffee, so ... I bought a bottle of the new TJs cold-brewed coffee concentrate. Just add water and/or milk! I'll let you know how it goes, but I've heard good things.

where are you going that doesn't have coffee

also, i am proximal to a TJs for the first time in a long time right now & am sad that they don't have the blue corn tortillas i thought they might. n/m.

xp A vacation house for the weekend. They have a maker, but I'd rather bring the jug of cold-brew than a bag of grounds.

the spinach & kale bites are pretty delicious. if i mash them up they could be a good base for a pesto.

Ooh is the coconut milk ice cream good and does it not taste overwhelmingly like coconut?? Would try.

the chocolate tastes just like chocolate ice cream imo (more so than soy, almond, rice based ones)

It's really hard to read "broccolini" without hearing Martha Wash singing "tall! dark! broccolini!"

Oh man, it would be awesome if this turned out to be good. I have my doubts because TJ's coffee generally is not good, and I wouldn't really want to cold brew their mediocre beans. But it could be that they have a licensing agreement with some decent company that makes the extract and is not their normal coffee roaster.
