I love Cherry Coke. Admittedly it tastes more of petrol and sugar than of cherries. Mmm.

x-post - I almost bought Polar Birch Beer the other day but I just couldn't do it. It has a picture of bark on it. That doesn't make it very appealing!

x-post - I can't drink regular soda. It feels like I'm pouring sugar down my throat and leaves a weird coating in my mouth.

I forgot that the US has cherry Dr Pepper; at least, I found an American can of it in an import shop last year, for more money than I could really justify spending on a soft drink, but given my fondness for Dr Pepper and Cherry Coke I had to have it, since I'd never seen it before in the UK.

It wasn't very good.

But I would still drink all the fizzy dark brown sugary drinks, definitely including black cherry soda.

There's an alcoholic Dr Pepper combo, I had a six-month bout of being well into it. It's a half-pint glass, half full of lager, half full of coke, you drop a shot of amaretto into it and down it in one. Tastes *exactly* like Dr Pepper.

For a Flaming Dr. Pepper you drop a shot glass of Amaretto topped with 151 rum set ablaze into a half glass of beer then chug it (after making sure the flames are out). So minus the coke, plus 151.

Many years ago, I drank a completely absurd number of Flaming Dr. Pepper shots the night before I was supposed to leave on a road trip from Colorado to Delaware. That was a baaaaaaad morning. Ugh.

Ooh, I want to try the flaming version, sounds even better.

I do like root beer about once every 10 years or so, yes. I like root beer barrel candies too. Oh man, I haven't had those in ages.
