Who's the guy anyway - the cartoonist?

Ned Trifle II, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 18:01 (nineteen years ago)

Note: this is word for word what is on the frontpage at [Removed Illegal Link] to the "Politically Correct" Cartoons site.

Every week Jim takes aim at the liberals in my nationally published, conservative, political cartoons. Bookmark this page to see my latest cartoon each week, and peruse the Cartoon Archives of over 400 "Politically Correct" cartoons.

Conservative and PC? Not at all... These cartoons are anything but PC. They are political and, indeed, correct. They also annoy liberals expecting PC cartoons! Also, from his bio:

About Jim Huber
Jim Huber is a nationally published cartoonist, with cartoons that appear in, most notably, National Review magazine.

He's been drawing cartoons ever since he was too lazy to draw realistic pictures. Actually, he's been honing his skills since he was about five years old (that's 28 years), but has been freelancing cartooning for over 18 years, starting with New York Newsday. He was a cartoonist and graphics editor for his high school and college papers. In college, in 1993, he started Politically Correct, which he continues to do today for papers, publications, and Web sites across the country.

Jim's current professional cartooning work extends beyond his political cartoon. He has drawn cartoons for various political, private, and commercial clients. In addition, Jim owns and operates a web design firm, Huberspace, which specializes in conservative/Republican Web sites.

I love the gay couple though, a bear loving prevert, see how he's standing behind his man, geddit?

Ned Trifle II, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 18:03 (nineteen years ago)

Has the cartoonist seen the trailer for "Live Free or Die Hard"? Maybe that would allay some of his fears about Hollywood.

kenan, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 18:03 (nineteen years ago)

dammit, why do quote not work

anyway, his website: http://conservativecartoons.com/

kingfish, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 18:04 (nineteen years ago)

all these cartoons do is subconsciously reinforce this weird imagery of libs/minorities as simpleminded minstrels. it's weird because i get the sense that these dudes drop in all sorts of political chatter and their thought process hasn't been simplified into cartoon form, because what you see is as deep as it's ever gonna get.

félix pié, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 18:04 (nineteen years ago)

bruce willis is always ready in his films to defend the country and murder a homosexual for wish fulfillment purposes (cf the jackal)

perhaps you'd like to see his webdev portfolio?

one of these sounds intriging:

» Public Advocate of the United States

Pro-family activist organization. One of the few conservative organizations specializing in political street theatre.

They also annoy liberals expecting PC cartoons!

Is there such a thing as a "PC" cartoon? Or at least one that isn't aimed at little children?

Gosh, I think I'll google "politically correct cartoon", because I am a liberal and I like things to be politically correct.

what's funny is that that could easily be from yesterday. The LOL BUT IT STILL SNOWS argument never runs out of steam.

kenan, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 18:10 (nineteen years ago)

The conservative street theater group are just as fresh and innovative as the cartoonists.

Or even Townhall.com, where I get these things, or batshit message boards like Rapture Ready, LGF or Free Republic?

félix pié, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 18:32 (nineteen years ago)

Part of the problem is that most media types don't really point this out. They run this false equivalence bullshit, where there is a far left and a far right that never change positions and we are objective, principled and removed observers are completely in the center. "Both sides do it" and "Michael Moore is the liberal version of Ann Coulter", etc. The Slacktivist guy best summed this up as "Broderian Cowardice"

kingfish, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 18:34 (nineteen years ago)

SHE LOOKS SO HAPPY UNDER THAT BLACK GUY DRAWN AND VOICED BY A WHITE GUY'S FEET

Nah, I just took this as their attempt to do the "stop-motion riding your friend like a skateboard" vids that have been on youtube over the last two years.

Mike Dixn, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 19:26 (nineteen years ago)

The liberal beaver is wishy-washy, conflicted, while the conservative beavers are stern and manly.

Mike Dixn, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 19:28 (nineteen years ago)

Somebody wore went at the conservative beaver's faces with a cheese grater.

Fluffy Bear Hearts Rainbows, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 19:30 (nineteen years ago)

Stephen King's Threaderstarter (kingfish), Thursday, 21 August 2014 15:16 (eleven years ago)

I almost revived the current-ish thread with Ferguson materials but I got too angry at the batshit ones - though they seemed thin on the ground - surprising number of conservative cartoons focusing, reasonably, on the militarization of Main Street theme, etc.

Doctor Casino, Friday, 22 August 2014 01:05 (eleven years ago)

the batshit right wing got too real

Those rule. lol I guess I'm pretty out of the loop, would never have guessed there's this huge right-wing groundswell against net neutrality.

Doctor Casino, Tuesday, 3 March 2015 02:03 (eleven years ago)

i may be totally off here but i think conservative keyboard warriors really only got on board very recently. it seems like i remember even dudes like glenn beck being FOR it back when it first became a mainstream(ish) concern. of course this all changed as soon as the usual suspects started spoon-feeding the idiot feedback loop
