i wanted to watch the movie where katherine heigl is a bounty hunter but he insisted on this, saying that the comic it is based on is really good.

Watched Mean Girls (had never seen it before, and ILXors seem to think highly of it) and ate a Healthy Choice frozen dinner (Balsamic garlic chicken, not good at all) with some white wine (Sterling "Aromatic White"), which was pretty good. Bought it for the name, and that I've found Sterling to be pretty reliable quality-wise.

went out for indian with some friends in Toronto

went to a weird black tie gala sponsored by Viktor & Rolf where Martha Wash played "It's Raining Men" and her Black Box hits and some slow jam / ballady things for various dressed up rich people (open bar = drank too many beers, some gin too)

then went to a gay sauna and had a steamy time

broke the food processor trying to grind meat

I went to a leather party and danced w/ and old friend-slash-lover who I have not danced with since like 2009; we had a Time.

nb: I am not at all the "leather party" type but my friend told me to come and I had enough stuff lying around my room to scrounge up a decent LQQK and so it was.

also I saw like a dozen other people I have sold porn/poppers/gear to and/or fucked at some point.

all in all though it was like okay enough but not outstanding.

have been sitting around on the computer/half-watching television like most nights. Now baking brownies.

i want brownies. trader joes has the best brownie-shortcut-box-mix imaginable by many accounts

tbh it's barely harder to bake brownies from scratch than to use a mix

I know but unlike virtually every other application, the mix always tastes better than scratch.

its kung fu nite tonite ki-yah! go spider. getting drunk again. am in a manly mood so here's a dumb and manly brag : spent the night up drinking few days ago then done some good ol summertime roofing on mah house. i avoid the sun usually, forgot sunscreen huehue . listened to e2-e4 full blast a couple times over, then switched to dennis bovell, then duane pitre; stuff i got from last year's critics year end's list

got back from visiting family, ate cereal for dinner bc nothing in the house, spent an hour arguing with Verizon customer service, now trying to decide whether to buy beer across the street

- I spent most of the day working on this sci-fi ballet, the full score of which was due yesterday. I have completed about 50% of it.
- I am not looking at the fine print of the commissioning agreement in worry that there's a "we kick your ass if you're late" clause.
- My bf came home with a nice piece of hangar steak and so I fried it for him in butter with shallots and wine.

tried some polysporin but i think it gave me that rudolph the red nose raindeer pimple on mah nose , blocked em pores. or maybe it was the coffee energy drink i drank before i started: a rare case when a first world man needed that extra energy for real.
