Fishing!!! Me too!!! I went out today on a really nice (and FAST) boat; didn't catch anything, but had a blast. Came in about the same time as the local fishermen and admired wahoo, yellowfin tuna, snapper, and mahi-mahi caught by the true experts. Gorgeous fish!

masouleh is so good! i'm glad you liked it because it's empty every time i'm there and that makes me sad. i love the egg-and-mint thing they have there. once i went there inappropriately dressed and saw a coworker who proceeded to introduce me to her *entire family* and i had to stand there and say hi to everyone in my shorty shorts. fortunately that time there was no one else there.

ha, both my bf and i were wearing tanks and cutoffs, so i feel you there. the other group eating at the same time as us were impeccably dressed.

i don't remember much about it aside from it being delicious and basically like scrambled eggs + lots of herbaceous mint that i can nibble w/pita or at home at my leisure. no recollection what the dish i had was called. they also have excellent soup. there is a persian dish called (transliterated clearly) kookoo sabzi that is basically like an herb/greens frittata -- it was like that in composition, but not shape. either way, it was delicious!!

I really need to make some version of that. Will investigate and report back.
