That lemon party joke had me on the floor while 'er indoors remained on the sofa looking at me like o_O. The beauty of this show in a nutshell right there, and a wikkid parallel with The Simpsons.

yeah i was gonna say f anyone who actually means FLYOVER COUNTRY as a thing plus most people who use it "ironically" even here, but i don't even care anyway because i am too fat and stuffed with cheese and inferior middlebrow opinions

I have a source (I know, right!?) who says there will be m0ar writers' room stuff in the future.

I asked Scott Adsit last summer if we'd see more Hornberger this year, and he said yes. So far, he has been lying to me.

I was thinking about how a lot of shows (like, say, Seinfeld) start with a small core cast, and slowly expand out to this big extended family of familiar characters, it almost feels like 30 Rock started with a big ensemble where most of the characters were pretty immediately liked by viewers, and has been narrowing its focus down to a small handful of people ever since.

No more writers room = DUMB DUMB DUMB

I wouldn't mind more writers room stuff, especially to replace some of the Kenneth stories, but let's face it, that stuff was always delegated to a C-story.

I would like to see the show bring in some new on-show talent to give Jenna and Tracy something to be pissed about.

The writer's room C-stories are what elevated great episodes into total classics, such as the one where Tracy is making a porn video game and Frank explains the uncanny valley, then Dr. Spaceman shows up with his cape! They're essential.

I was watching season 1 episodes recently and it made me realize how much i miss hornberger.

The occasional characters are what make 30 rock, they give the central ones something to work with. More Dennis, Hornburger, Dr Spaceman, Twofer and fewer celebrity cameos please.

Also NBC, please make a Denis Duffy sitcom, you could get the King of Queens audience and the 30 rock audience if you did it right.

am halfway thru s1 now and biggest lol so far may be Spaceman "dammit where ARE my car keys?" while looking at x-rays of his/a body.

Not actually that I think John Hamm and Selma Hyek have had bad storylines or poor joke because they haven't but if the trade off is celebrities vs a bigger ensemble, I'll pick the latter.

i think my biggest lol of season 1, and the whole series, is dennis reading his goodbye letter to liz. and it takes place in the writers room.

OK, I was exaggerating. The show is mentioned. But rarely does it factor into the subplots.

i just don't get people wondering about this show. . . it's a pretty consistent funny show that makes me out loud at least once a week

i dont really care for the writers room crew tbh they pretty bland - zinging snl via tgs is kinda funny - celebrity cameos are meh - dennis spaceman devon and kathy geiss should be fulltime cast imo

Sources are telling OK! that 30 Rock funnyman Tracy Morgan's Manhattan apartment caught fire earlier today.

According to one insider, the blaze, which occurred Wednesday morning, caused him to lose most if not all of the contents of his apartment in the swanky Trump Place building on NYC's Riverside Boulevard.

Making matter worse, says the source, the fire spread to neighboring apartments, though it's still unclear as to the total extent of the damage.

The New York fire department confirmed to Access Hollywood on Wednesday that they responded to a fire at the building. The first call came at 8:34 AM and the flames were under control by 9:03 AM.

“The View” co-host Sherri Shepherd, who lives in the same building as Tracy (and plays his on-screen wife on “30 Rock”), discussed the fire on the morning talk show, noting that she got a call in the studio from her nanny about it and that her floor had been flooded.
