I did the autojournal thing, so i use foursquare disconnected from all social media mainly to note in my journal when i go somewhere interesting.

like, i can tell you that the only time you need to pay attention to jim dalrymple is when he does one of his "yep" or "nope" posts

Those one word yeps come off as so fucking haughty. Like "I will deign to address your rumour, but you shall get naught but one word from me, for I am so very important and my word shall be the final one on the subject." Ugh.

(even more annoying b/c like markers said he's normally right, which builds even more of a weird cult of personality around this dude who is basically a lonely beard just thinking baout angus young)

I am starting to merge all these jokers in my head into one guy w/suspenders frustrated with his suboptimal coffee experience.

The Verge is far and away the best of a terrible lot, but even then the writing isn't a patch on even Wired in its heyday.
