A day of keeper lolz. Taraabt now on to add to newcastle's woes.

CraigG, Sunday, 12 May 2013 15:42 (thirteen years ago)

Studge hattrick. Next year is on.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 12 May 2013 15:47 (thirteen years ago)

Eurgh, this weekend has been a total washout. Banking on Arsenal to win now. Christ hep us

Windsor Davies, Sunday, 12 May 2013 16:12 (thirteen years ago)

We are at odds

i gave ten pounds and all i got was a lousy * (darraghmac), Sunday, 12 May 2013 16:13 (thirteen years ago)

That Sunderland-Southampton draw has kept it interesting - if Wigan were to beat Arsenal on Tuesday then they and Villa would be able to trot out a draw that would keep them both up.

Matt DC, Sunday, 12 May 2013 16:16 (thirteen years ago)

xpost - In name only. The thought of gamling our security on Arsenal beating Wigan scares the shit out of me, but I'd bet my life's savings on Spurs not making the CL this season, and y'know I speak the truth

Windsor Davies, Sunday, 12 May 2013 16:18 (thirteen years ago)

That would have been a great goal for Swansea

Matt, I have no confidence in Villa to trot out anything without Benthers on the pitch. If it comes to the point where losing to Wigan means relegation, we'll go

I suddenly feel very old seeing Bruce & Robson bringing that trophy on

OT, but Spurs fans: what has Gomes been up to lately? Playing in the second squad or something?

He just admitted he desperately wants to return to PSV. It's the single biggest player of the last 20 years of PSV, a true legend. I just think he's... a bit shite nowadays?

Le Bateau Ivre, Sunday, 12 May 2013 17:12 (thirteen years ago)

He is on loan at Hoffenheim.

хуто-хуторянка (ShariVari), Sunday, 12 May 2013 17:15 (thirteen years ago)

Oh shit yeah, you're right. Spurs won't want him back though, right?

Le Bateau Ivre, Sunday, 12 May 2013 17:15 (thirteen years ago)

Is he playing at Hoff?

not like cocu or someone

He was but he broke his hand last month and is out for the season.

хуто-хуторянка (ShariVari), Sunday, 12 May 2013 17:19 (thirteen years ago)

@Nilmar, not the best, but certainly the biggest as in a cult hero. He embodied PSV, crowd favorite. It's sad he never really got to show his potential in the PL.

Le Bateau Ivre, Sunday, 12 May 2013 17:25 (thirteen years ago)

hes only 32, he should be good for a midtable side in one of the better leagues, even if he is now on the 'erratic' blacklist in the epl

there is no special cathexis with mini fried donuts (Nilmar Honorato da Silva), Sunday, 12 May 2013 17:27 (thirteen years ago)

Well, him, Van Bommel and Cocu. Bommel ended his career today, in style: 2 yellows

Le Bateau Ivre, Sunday, 12 May 2013 17:27 (thirteen years ago)

Cocu will be the manager next season btw

don't forget park! :D

have a nice Blog (imago), Sunday, 12 May 2013 17:29 (thirteen years ago)

oh, rip mvb

worth remembering that he was playing for barcelona only seven years ago, who now think even cesc is too technically limited to play regularly in midfield

there is no special cathexis with mini fried donuts (Nilmar Honorato da Silva), Sunday, 12 May 2013 17:30 (thirteen years ago)

Park, Alex, Bommel, Gomes, Nistelrooij... what a team that was

xp

Geoff Shreeves: What were you thinking when you went off?

Paul Scholes: uh, not a lot really

Number None, Sunday, 12 May 2013 17:31 (thirteen years ago)

scholes is dreadful, pretentiously unpretentious

there is no special cathexis with mini fried donuts (Nilmar Honorato da Silva), Sunday, 12 May 2013 17:32 (thirteen years ago)

So is Giggs defo staying for another year?

Le Bateau Ivre, Sunday, 12 May 2013 17:33 (thirteen years ago)

RIP Scholes, the last true clerk of football

Le Bateau Ivre, Sunday, 12 May 2013 17:33 (thirteen years ago)

Scholes: "I know it's the right time for me to go. It's not been the season I would have liked personally, but we've won the league and it's a great day."

What does he mean by that?

Le Bateau Ivre, Sunday, 12 May 2013 17:35 (thirteen years ago)

Jeez, everyone's bowing out in character today. Carra o.g. hattrick next week no doubt.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 12 May 2013 17:35 (thirteen years ago)

this is all a bit odd

Tancredi Palmeri ‏@tancredipalmeri 1h

Rumour has it that Falcao has accepted Monaco option bcs it's the only one that would easily let him go to Real Madrid after 1 season

Number None, Sunday, 12 May 2013 17:48 (thirteen years ago)

Tancredi Palmeri ‏@tancredipalmeri 1h

The Falcao deal looks like another cunning plan from Jorge Mendes. Prepare to see minor players of his to move to Monaco soon

Number None, Sunday, 12 May 2013 17:50 (thirteen years ago)

if so I wish him ill

"a good lad who needs to get his head down" according to Neville

Number None, Sunday, 12 May 2013 17:56 (thirteen years ago)

That's a nasty pickle to leave Moyes

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 12 May 2013 17:57 (thirteen years ago)

as opposed to the towering 26 year legacy.

Studied keyboard mash (tsrobodo), Sunday, 12 May 2013 18:41 (thirteen years ago)

PL will probably see Wilfred Bony, Dutch top scorer and an awesome striker, on the pitch somewhere. Ain't no Afonso Alves tbh. He will be great

Le Bateau Ivre, Sunday, 12 May 2013 18:44 (thirteen years ago)

I didn't realise Wilf McGuinness was only 31 when he took over from Busby.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 12 May 2013 19:00 (thirteen years ago)

and when he resigned

Koné 2013 (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 12 May 2013 19:00 (thirteen years ago)

What is happening at Monaco?

rip van bommel

today was rubbish. bloody stoke.

tell me more (a hoy hoy), Sunday, 12 May 2013 21:23 (thirteen years ago)

Fuck Dutch football culture not heavily into giffing yet tbh. So much giffable moments of Bommel's last great trick, but bitches in dis here country dunna care

Le Bateau Ivre, Sunday, 12 May 2013 21:48 (thirteen years ago)

Why are City trailing the kill, instead of just doing it?

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 12 May 2013 21:48 (thirteen years ago)

what's the word on Adam Maher LBI?

Number None, Sunday, 12 May 2013 21:54 (thirteen years ago)

Maher will probably go to Ajax, he will replace Christian Erikson, who is on his way to Dortmund. De Boer and klopp (friends) had contact about Erikson this week, and Erikson himself expressed he wants to go to BVB.

Sucks, because I would have loved to see Maher at PSV. But there is no reason he would choose for PSV after this dire season. Ajax are champions and have CL in the pocket and all. And tbh, he is the natural replacement of Erikson. I just wish death upon Ajax, is all.

Maher has expressed he will not go abroad yet, which makes this even more of a done deal. Noone knows if Arse or Spurs show up with their millions, but I think Maher to Ajax is a done deal.

Tbh he is all of the hype and more. What a player.

Le Bateau Ivre, Sunday, 12 May 2013 21:59 (thirteen years ago)

even just in brief chitchat you feared for moyes' dad with big dunc there

r|t|c, Sunday, 12 May 2013 21:59 (thirteen years ago)

Eriksen being the replacement for Gotze, that is xp

Le Bateau Ivre, Sunday, 12 May 2013 22:00 (thirteen years ago)

MOTD2's commentator for the Everton game kept emphasising "EVERTON'S THIRD LONGEST SERVING MANAGER" which kind of makes it seem less significant if anything
