i mean not that it matters. this is a terrible show about wizards that i don't even like and i only watch because everyone else does and i never post on this thread although the episode last week was good and i liked it when they blew up the boats.

As an American all I get is a southern gentleman out of littlefinger in a few random words and am nodding along blankly to all the other accent stuff you're all going on about.

It's a bit Welsh, I thought? Or am I not hearing it right? It is a very strange accent.

Well it'll be like one emphasized word per every three lines that give me that impression.

i think part of the problem is he's clearly reaching for a deeper voice than he naturally has, plus he seems like like he's not naturally an accent guy

welsh would be "correct" in some sense, since he's from the vale and theoretically vale accents = welsh

i think in a weird way his accent is worse or more distracting than dinklage's, because he seems to have something specific in mind that he's trying to do, where as dinklage hardly bothers these days

from what i can tell dinklage's "accent" is basically just dropping his Rs and opening up his As a little bit

Yeah I think it's been getting more pronounced the further in we've gone. Don't recall thinking anything in particular about Gillen's accent in the first series.

osha actress was in About A Boy and I still think, "good on her, doing more things". Although she was in Harry Potter as well now that I think of it.

I'll tell you what I do like, and that's Tywin and Olenna. In fact, I like Tywin and anyone (especially if their meetings didn't happen in the books, cos then it's like some kind of fantasy scenario).

Olenna so far has just been a series of one-on-one conversations with everyone in King's Landing.
All she needs is Joffrey for the complete set.

In an episode that already had one stomach-churning scene of shocking, needless torture, did this one accomplish anything new?

I thought the way it was done was more shocking and fitting for the way people viewed Ros.

Am I right in thinking that Ros was totally innocent and the spy who blew Littlefinger's plan was actually Shae?
