Yeah, I'm quite grateful for this. As a relative noob I'm not sure I'd have lasted too long round these parts if all of my banal spur-of-the-moment mid-game mind farts were being collated onto a thread for the entertainment of the ILF masses. At least under the current status quo it all just gets buried for eternity as soon as anything noteworthy happens when Spurs are playing

How dya figure? I mean there's been a number of bright points sure, and it's good that we've blooded a load of youngsters who will hopefully move onwards and upwards from here and have a degree of loyalty towards Paulie-Paul and so on and so on, but I'd really rather have had the season that say, Swansea have had. Think our season looks better because basically everyone else (Stoke, Fulham, Newcastle, Sunderland etc. etc.)

Is Bale really off to Real Madrid this summer? What is the point of that?

... better team, better league, more money, what else do you want?

I dunno, I reckon there's loads to like:

• playing 'good' footy for the most part
• don't have to hold your nose to cheer your guys
• hell of an exciting narrative
• not much negativity around since McLeish took that with him
• good future prospects, I mean I'm excited to see what you look like in a couple of years
• not-being-like-everyone-else is a big part of following a club I reckon, and Villa are totally unlike all the other sides down that way
