I think the worst line-up of a show I've been to must have been Dodgy with Cast in support. My mate was (still is, really) a huge Dodgy fan, so I saw them a few times. And once met the drummer (hat man) without knowing who he was, and he was actually really nice. So. Terrible band, still.

It was good enough for them though.

Missing this place a lot this weather. Does the heart & hand still have that awesome jukebox w beefheart & iggy & murvin 78s? Used to love that, more than made up for the anonymous brown Harvey's slurry masquerading as beer.

Don't get back often enough why because lyfe, but I'll be down in a couple of weeks for friend's wedding, which should be fun. I have the week off/might be between jobs so I may EVEN do some clubbing like a young person would.

i tried to go clubbing last weekend. got there about 1am to find the doors closed and no signs of life. the bouncer for the place upstairs told us they'd gone home because "only 2 people turned up." christ, how bleak is that? yep, good luck wins!

Lol yeah, I have been one of the 2 people before. I know what to expect. A wee dance to some generic tech-house followed by a walk on the beach will do me.

Haha, Jesus, really? At least that makes trying to run an indiepop club where only ten people ever show up seem less ridiculous.

One thing I never knew about Brighton until a couple of days ago - Aleister Crowley's ashes are apparently scattered in Woodvale Cemetery.
