Maybe we should assign a club to support to people who's club got relegated?

xpost Never seen a goalkeeper get "injured" as often as Cesar. Also, made a shedload of terrible errors, though he did have an amazing January.
Townsend's only a loanee, so I don't hold him responsible, but have no love for him either.
Financial shit remains to be seen. Fernandes maintains there are no problems and long-term planning is in place. But if what we've seen at LR over the last two years (we've got 42 registered pros, you know) is long-term planning, I'd hate to see his version of short-term planning.
Amazes me that the fans still sing his name, when by any normal measure his chairmanship has been disastrous. That's what the odd tweet and appearance in the Rangers end at away games will buy you. Oddly reminiscent of Mike Ashley. If he can now learn what Ashley learned after his first season we'll be OK. I hope.

Joe Bennett might be the worst defensive full back I've ever seen, I'm struggling to come up with a worse

It's like the one he got against Everton last year, only not quite as good

Fucking fantastic

Fantastic goal
― Le Bateau Ivre, Monday, 22 April 2013 19:22 (thirteen years ago)
Goal difference doesn't really matter to villa any more, does it? Would still like them not to take a disembowelling here.
― Ismael Klata, Monday, 22 April 2013 19:34 (thirteen years ago)
I have such an embarrassing crush on RVP #bromance
― Le Bateau Ivre, Monday, 22 April 2013 19:47 (thirteen years ago)
it's nae remy v wigan but it's pretty good
― r|t|c, Monday, 22 April 2013 19:51 (thirteen years ago)
It could come down to goal difference, a win puts Wigan level on points and at least five goals better off than Villa. Before tonight there was only one goal in it.
― RIP Muppet Fat Chef (onimo), Monday, 22 April 2013 19:52 (thirteen years ago)
That second RVP goal!

Corker that was, magnificent. His walking too, to avoid off-side. Perfect.
― Le Bateau Ivre, Monday, 22 April 2013 20:10 (thirteen years ago)
Oof... that could've cost Evra a second yellow
― Le Bateau Ivre, Monday, 22 April 2013 20:11 (thirteen years ago)
It is astonishing to me that Giggs is still so good btw
Sorry for fan-boying up this thread. Is everyone (=Spurs fans) avoiding this match?
― Le Bateau Ivre, Monday, 22 April 2013 20:14 (thirteen years ago)
Just in from five a side

In that case, you need to see the second RVP goal. It is quite something.

NBS <3
Good as it was, I bet at that moment darragh was scoring a better one
― Ismael Klata, Monday, 22 April 2013 20:22 (thirteen years ago)
Villa moving the ball about as well as I've seen them all season, right now, but they look unlikely to score.

Second half is utter shite from ManU tbh

seems a bit cruel to schedule the qpr-reading six pointer for this weekend
― Ismael Klata, Monday, 22 April 2013 20:27 (thirteen years ago)
I love matches like this when they do all the old songs for long-gone players. We've just had Wes Brown, Andy Cole then John O'Shea. I'm holding out for David May.

Diego Forlan, that'll do I suppose.

Yeah congratulations. I'm kind of glad you wrapped it up tonight - I didn't get a ticket for Sunday and it'd've hurt knowing I'd missed the chance to skin you for a grand.
― Ismael Klata, Monday, 22 April 2013 20:56 (thirteen years ago)
No questioning deserved champions lads.
will fergie call it at this?

It's how he'd've wanted it tbh, iirc he's not the type to make a fuss
― Ismael Klata, Monday, 22 April 2013 21:02 (thirteen years ago)
Great night <3
Meulensteen today btw said, when asked, he'd be ready to step up if Fergie leaves, but would also be ok with someone from 'outside' coming in. I do think the man has ambitions though.

Rapist Ched Evans has hired a private detective and is offering cash for evidence in a bid to clear his name.
The former Wales international, 24, was jailed for five years last April after being found guilty of raping a 19-year-old woman at a hotel in Rhyl, North Wales.
The ex-Sheffield United striker maintains his innocence and twelve months on, a website has been set up by family and friends.
Supporters of the striker said on the website set up in his name: “There is a significant reward for new information that can be used as evidence that leads to acquittal.”
Evans also revealed the prison where he is kept recently handed him increased privileges meaning he can sit alongside his girlfriend Natasha Massey when she visits him.
He described the step as ‘amazing’ and likened it to ‘scoring in the Steel City derby’ - the game between local rivals Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday.

"So there it is, United win the league with four games to go - last season City won it with four *minutes* to go"
Erm, no they didn't.
― BBC 'Witch' Song (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Monday, 22 April 2013 21:07 (thirteen years ago)
Yeah that's p stupid tbh
