well this season just got excellent.

Dany fucking up the slavers is one of my favourite sequences in the book, and they really did it justice.

yeah I saw the Danerys thing coming but goddamn that was a sweet payoff

Maergary's playing of Joffrey might be my favorite thread of the season.

I liked that exchange btw Cersei and Tywin, "She's got her claws in Joffrey and knows just how to manipulate him." "Good, I wish you knew how too." (or however it went)

also the scene of Varys opening the box with the sorcerer in it was p good

somehow didn't expect the 'native tongue' bit, tho the rest was well telegraphed (and in retrospect, that was too).

yeah it made sense. and made it more plausible that she would go ham like that after you learn that she heard and understood all the insults from that dude.

That was one of the better episodes for sure. Lots of fun.

Varys <3 I love that goddamn eunuch.

I really dig the show's version of Margaery too. Also love how Joffrey's dorkiness comes out when he's around her.

I love how booby her dresses are. She's like Game of Thrones catwoman

obv imo there was something "off" about theon's escape so i wasn't exactly surprised at what it turned out to be but it was still grimly lolful.

I took it as, they weren't getting info out of Theon so they set up the fake escape, had the guy who let him go gain his trust, & at the very end there got Theon to admit he was loyal to the Starks

Bolton's, i'm pretty sure. the "boy" is Bolton's "bastard".

i'm not sure how vague it's supposed to be, theon's story after the sack of winterfell is written kind of non-linearly in the books and they're clearly handling it differently in the tv show

More compelling if you know as much as Theon going along.

I haven't seen the season 3 episodes yet, but yeah, in the books this plotline has a lot of uncertainty and ambiguity.

Best scene of the week - and I loved Olenna Tyrell & Varys too. Conleth Hill is just brilliant in every scene he's in.

god varys and olenna was fantastic - I said to Mr Veg it was like watching 2 snakes in conversation
