In the last few weeks we've had two high-profile incidents where a player committed a nasty foul that went unpunished and everyone assumed they'd be picking up a lengthy ban once the FA had looked at it, but in both cases nothing happened (because at least one of the four officials saw at least 'part' of the incident).
