Sigurdsson and Dempsey both want to cut inside, neither really has the pace to go past players on the wing, and the central midfield consequently gets really crowded. And it's always going to be a massive ask to get through the City midfield with Yaya Toure in there, even when he's playing alongside Barry.

For real though, Tevez is the difference today. Dude is terrifying every time he gets the ball.

Parker coming right up to walker to give/take ball is more the problem, as is dempsey's seeming refusal to move inside *early* to receive ball or create space (*xp to matt's point*). They're smothering themselves. Same on the right but not quite to the same extent.

But really they are individually playing poorly too, cf dempsey's touch there and every time he's played for us really
