Dade County has agreed to supply recreation equipment for an after-school program at the Haitian-American Voter Education (HAVE) Center, 7545 Biscayne Blvd.

The program, planned to include soccer and volleyball teams and a dance troupe, was created for 6- to 16-year-olds by Jacques Despinosse, HAVE Center director.

I don't understand why everyone also has to assume it's a hate crime JUST because the victim was black. From what I understand from reading several other articles, this girl was highly intoxicated, high on Marijuana, and banging on this man's door and yelling at 2AM. I don't care if she was black, white, hispanic, ect. That could be deemed as threatening. Granted, I don't know exactly what transpired on that porch, but I doubt that 54 year old man though, "Oh, a black person they must be dangerous." I am so sick of how every time a black person is killed by a white person, no matter what the circumstances, it is a racist hate crime

At Outkast's show last weekend, Andre 3000 did a speech about how "This isn't for white people… This isn't for black people… This isn't for purple people…" Sweet though. Most forgivable use of purple people I've seen.
