Believe it or not, that was the 4th episode for Colton Dunn (Brett) and the 5th for Harris Wittels (Harris). (Harris is also a writer on the show.) Their first episode together was "The Possum" in season 2.

Colton Dunn KILLED it in that episode. "there are 4 ways to skin a cat" or whatever...

This was a good one--for some reason "nobody needs to get Jammed today" really got me

I hated Jamm at the start of the season but I love him now. I love that his adherence to the concept of "Jammed" goes beyond even himself, like when he had to drop that lawsuit against Ron and he told his lawyers "We've been Jammed."

also loved him "retro-Jamm" All the other council members are so delightfully one note that I don't mind the same joke over and over--Councilman Dexhart etc.

the gerry ep was great- the other one was pretty decent too. The show's doing pretty well for being deep into its run. I'm wondering if they're planning on wrapping it up soon though.

The wedding was meant to be a series finale so I think they're just going with it now.

agreed. alternating between amusing/likeable and pretty damn funny is a good enough ratio for me.

I was curious, so I looked at the average # of viewers for NBC sitcoms this season, and it shakes out like this:

1. Go On
2. The Office
3. The New Normal
4. Guys with Kids
5. Whitney
6. 30 Rock
7. Parks and Rec
8. Up All Night
9. Community
10. 1600 Penn

That said, apart from the departing 30 Rock and The Office, all of the shows with larger audiences *on average* than Parks and Rec's have aired two to four episodes this season with fewer viewers than P&R's lowest-performing episode. Compared to the majority of NBC's comedy programming -- such as Go On, whose ratings have been on a steady decline ever since its big premiere -- P&R performs very consistently, even if it never reaches beyond about 4 million viewers per episode.

that ranking reflects total viewers and not the adult demo rating, right? if critics are to be believed, the demo is the more significant number (RIP Harry's Law, watched by millions, all of them olds).

Right.

Oh -- P&R actually does *better* within the 18-49 demo. Only behind Go On and The Office. How about that.
