Neil Warnock is so pissed off, icing on the cake.

Amazed that 2 of last seasons prem teams are heading for a successive relegation to League 1 with all the parachute payments, premiership quality players yawn etc. Well Blackburn look dodgy and Wolves practically gone with the dastardly fixtures they have.

Damo Suzuki's Parrot, Saturday, 13 April 2013 17:24 (thirteen years ago)

premiership quality players

Nilmar Honorato da Silva, Saturday, 13 April 2013 17:29 (thirteen years ago)

Not so much Blackburn tbh, but wolves yeah didnt strike me as a danger

Going down two divisions is a well-trodden path by now, though tbf i don't think it's been in successive years before. Bradford might've done it, possibly Norwich? I think even City took a couple of years bitd.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 13 April 2013 17:35 (thirteen years ago)

Normally there is stagnation in the Championship period a la Leeds, Charlton, Leicester where they are relatively competitive thanks to parachute money and retaining some of the higher quality players, but these are really poor teams. I suppose they have both suffered from poor chairman decisions which may be an understatement.

Damo Suzuki's Parrot, Saturday, 13 April 2013 17:42 (thirteen years ago)

Well anyway let that be a warning to you QPR fans.

Damo Suzuki's Parrot, Saturday, 13 April 2013 17:44 (thirteen years ago)

You don't need to tell us what happens after relegation form the Premier League. We blazed the trail for going down, then expecting to come back up quickly, but instead struggling badly before being relegated again, amid terrible financial problems. We taught Leeds everything they know about plunging quickly from the upper reaches of the top flight to being a joke club, thank you very much.

Trans-Europe Stopping Train (ithappens), Saturday, 13 April 2013 18:29 (thirteen years ago)

Well for what it is worth my team were the first ever former football league champions to get relegated from the top flight and then suffer successive relegations to Div 4. They blazed this trail in the 70's man!

Damo Suzuki's Parrot, Saturday, 13 April 2013 18:38 (thirteen years ago)

xp too right. this epically shit, ruinously traumatic spell in the big time was 15 fucking years in the making

noodle's suggestion of hiring curbs now after not getting him in 1996 when we should've done has a ingeniously bitter irony i can't discount

r|t|c, Saturday, 13 April 2013 18:42 (thirteen years ago)

who might that be xp

should have gotten curbs in 1996, ah now you've got a kicking coming your way chez nous

delete (imago), Saturday, 13 April 2013 18:45 (thirteen years ago)

guys, when we go down we will hold the record as the only club in history to have dropped in 2 consecutive seasons twice

life went on, sadly (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 13 April 2013 18:45 (thirteen years ago)

Huddersfield Town xp

Damo Suzuki's Parrot, Saturday, 13 April 2013 19:05 (thirteen years ago)

Yeah to do it twice is amazing NV!

Damo Suzuki's Parrot, Saturday, 13 April 2013 19:09 (thirteen years ago)

I know recounting dreams is always boring but I just remembered that I dreamt of Harry Redknapp accidentally reviving some town-sized reptile monster and Obama authorising a nuclear strike. Me and Lee Gamble, we weren't happy about getting nuked let me tell you that. Nice diverse set of cultural references at least.

won't be as remarked upon as your Bales and your Suarezesses but it was way more cynical

Number None, Saturday, 13 April 2013 22:43 (thirteen years ago)

Amazing from Steven Taylor there, even if it was a penalty. Must take some bottle to put your head in front of a guy's shoe as he's about to leather the ball towards goal

Windsor Davies, Sunday, 14 April 2013 11:20 (thirteen years ago)

Could see that the moment they let him cut in

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 14 April 2013 12:34 (thirteen years ago)

PDC is quite likeable tbh (except for the fascist thing obv)

Di Canio knows how to celebrate for sure.

fun loving and xtremely tolrant (Billy Dods), Sunday, 14 April 2013 12:43 (thirteen years ago)

Interviewed him when he was at West Ham and he was a brilliant interviewee. Then got sounded out about doing his autobiography and was excited about it. Didn't get it, and once I read it, was very glad I didn't get it.

Trans-Europe Stopping Train (ithappens), Sunday, 14 April 2013 12:45 (thirteen years ago)

Sunderland fans giving it some, I imagine they've been saving it up all season

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 14 April 2013 12:48 (thirteen years ago)

di canio is a disgusting savage

sonderangerbot, Sunday, 14 April 2013 12:57 (thirteen years ago)

just been catching up with those di canio celebrations, fair play to the guy, i like him in spite of myself.

CUNTSSS

Windsor Davies, Sunday, 14 April 2013 17:30 (thirteen years ago)

Stoke are going down, I'm calling it.

Matt DC, Sunday, 14 April 2013 17:34 (thirteen years ago)

Stoke worst form in the division since Jan 1 so

life went on, sadly (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 14 April 2013 17:36 (thirteen years ago)

don't jinx it

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 14 April 2013 17:36 (thirteen years ago)

They're only playing (theoretically) relegation threatened teams plus Spurs until the end of the season and I can see QPR, Norwich, Sunderland and Southampton all beating them, or churning out a turgid 0-0 at the very least.

Matt DC, Sunday, 14 April 2013 17:39 (thirteen years ago)

Don't think Villa are one of the three worst teams in the division, but I honestly don't believe that even Stoke or Sunderland have a self-destruct sequence hard-wired into their DNA quite like we do. I mean, I'm quite fond of the lads Baker and Bennett, but crikey if they dont look capable of costing us when it matters most in every single game. I'm banking on those games against Sunderland and Wigan now, it's all in our hands

Windsor Davies, Sunday, 14 April 2013 17:40 (thirteen years ago)

Wow Stoke have only managed to beat Reading in 2013. That's it.

Matt DC, Sunday, 14 April 2013 17:42 (thirteen years ago)

and everybody beats Reading

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 14 April 2013 17:46 (thirteen years ago)

Lazy Liverpool zing there.
