I think we might have missed one:

Morgan Schneiderlin is left-handed, because there's nothing he can't do.

hope qpr do picture specials like these every time someone signs off a mutual termination

r|t|c, Friday, 12 April 2013 21:18 (thirteen years ago)

You’ve got to take time out of your scheduled six weeks at the end of the season to do the badges

I realise that I've been beating this drum a bit recently with my whining about Adebayor last night and it's all fairly obvious and naive to criticise footballers for this shit; but srsly, what planet do these guys live on? ffs

Windsor Davies, Friday, 12 April 2013 21:19 (thirteen years ago)

Manchester City’s attempts to make their players more road safety conscious appear to be failing after a third star was banned from driving for six months.

Sportsmail has learned the FA Cup semi-finalists regularly organise motoring clinics for all their players, but defender Micah Richards was penalised by magistrates on Friday after he failed to respond to speeding notices sent to his home.

Last week Samir Nasri and Carlos Tevez were also banned for motoring offences, while 18-year-old defender Courtney Meppen-Walter was jailed for 16 months and banned from driving for three years in February.

Utd: 'OT is always full'; Police: 'no it isn't' is a a bit strange. Ime there're always a few empty seats within range at any game, even full ones, but it's hard to imagine them adding up to many thousands on the reg.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 13 April 2013 06:32 (thirteen years ago)

Dear FSG, please do not under any circumstances sanction the purchase of Ashley Williams. Thank you.

pandemic, Saturday, 13 April 2013 08:30 (thirteen years ago)

A more detailed breakdown of the empty seats. They've made FOI requests to get the figures for other clubs (City, Arsenal, Liverpool, etc.) as well. I'm not at all surprised by the figures for the cup and CL games (when you can clearly see loads and loads of empty seats on the TV), but 5,000 missing for the Liverpool home game is odd. There's no doubt that they could actually fill the stadium (easily) for that match, so it looks like lots of season ticket holders just didn't show up (though far fewer than the number that regularly don't turn up). Officially you're not allowed to pass on season tickets to anyone else, but thousands do every week.

BBC 'Witch' Song (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Saturday, 13 April 2013 08:51 (thirteen years ago)

Link not working to the seat breakdown.

Have any football clubs ever declared actual attendances? In the old days of cash-on-the-turnstile they would massively underdeclare to evade tax.

Trans-Europe Stopping Train (ithappens), Saturday, 13 April 2013 12:25 (thirteen years ago)

They had to share gate receipts as well in THE OLD DAYS.

BBC 'Witch' Song (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Saturday, 13 April 2013 12:47 (thirteen years ago)

In the lower leagues hardly any teams report true attendances, most figures are based on all season ticket holders attending. I don't know what the incentive to artificially inflate attendances is, but they are all at it.

make it look like you are more successful than you are, attract more investors/create aura of competence?

"privilege" is not a meme. but "privilege is not a meme" is a meme. (m bison), Saturday, 13 April 2013 13:07 (thirteen years ago)

so as if the prospect of watching 90 mins of this wasnt pleasant enough already i also have the unbiased commentary insight of barry horne to enjoy

r|t|c, Saturday, 13 April 2013 14:09 (thirteen years ago)

My stream just died after 21 minutes of this game, not sure I can be bothered finding another. Neither side with a proper attempt on goal yet

Windsor Davies, Saturday, 13 April 2013 14:24 (thirteen years ago)

this is probably the weakest choice of 3pm streams in living memory

delete (imago), Saturday, 13 April 2013 14:39 (thirteen years ago)

is it weird that i'm edging towards soton - west ham?

delete (imago), Saturday, 13 April 2013 14:40 (thirteen years ago)

gibson 1-0, deflected in

everton pretty lumpen and blunt but we deserve to be behind just for being so terminally lifeless, townsend aside

game over today on this evidence

r|t|c, Saturday, 13 April 2013 14:44 (thirteen years ago)

Get behind me, Soton (xp)

Tom D (Tom D.), Saturday, 13 April 2013 14:45 (thirteen years ago)

any chance we can just end the season at half time?

Number None, Saturday, 13 April 2013 14:47 (thirteen years ago)

^^^scared of everton

delete (imago), Saturday, 13 April 2013 14:47 (thirteen years ago)

eh maybe end it all after i watch big dan boot jordi gomez into orbit later

looks like liverpool should be at least four up

r|t|c, Saturday, 13 April 2013 14:56 (thirteen years ago)

Could be any Liverpool 0-0 tbh.

Norwich lead, free header.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 13 April 2013 15:14 (thirteen years ago)

2-0 anichebe header, no marking, no effort, absolutely begging to be put out of our misery

this half has been a disgrace, they're done

r|t|c, Saturday, 13 April 2013 15:16 (thirteen years ago)

Kenny Orr Hall Gabbidon Connolly Derry Taarabt Faurlin Buzsaky Agyemang (Bothroyd - 55' ) Smith (Ephraim - 66' )

Subs: Murphy Gorkss Perone Moen Ephraim Andrade Bothroyd

this motley lot won 1-0 here working their socks off last season

r|t|c, Saturday, 13 April 2013 15:20 (thirteen years ago)

so, Arry next season? or will he get the boot? or will he walk?

life went on, sadly (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 13 April 2013 15:21 (thirteen years ago)

definitely won't get the boot, he's played fernandes (and most of the fanbase) like a master since he walked in - if he stays it'll look like he's doing us a big favour and we'll all be terribly grateful. probably get even more money to give it a "real good go" and all, west ham will be the model

basically up to whether he fancies retiring and getting back on the motd sofa cos i really can't see anyone else in the league (including those likely to be promoted) hiring him

not like we'll get rid of all this dross in one go in the summer anyway so we might as well keep digging

r|t|c, Saturday, 13 April 2013 15:34 (thirteen years ago)

feel like Arry probably thinks the Champo is beneath him nowadays, we'll see

life went on, sadly (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 13 April 2013 15:37 (thirteen years ago)

yeah i wouldnt blame him, it's a gruelling prospect. good old rosie47 might advise otherwise however

nightmare scenario (well, additionally) is arry walks and they give it to the lurking steve cotterill. non-league within the decade if that happens

r|t|c, Saturday, 13 April 2013 15:39 (thirteen years ago)

Fuckin interferin linesman

Curbs is available

life went on, sadly (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 13 April 2013 15:44 (thirteen years ago)

Bah! Would have been nice for Arsenal to balls up their game in hand and assure Norwich of safety at the same time.

хуто-хуторянка (ShariVari), Saturday, 13 April 2013 15:44 (thirteen years ago)

Windsor Davies, Saturday, 13 April 2013 15:47 (thirteen years ago)

that 4th spot is like a prophecy of biblical proportions or something epic like that.

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 13 April 2013 15:47 (thirteen years ago)

after the job Big Mick's done at Ipswich they won't want to lose him for at least another 6 months

life went on, sadly (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 13 April 2013 15:48 (thirteen years ago)

Gah, was hoping for an epic Arsenal-Everton 5th-place shootout on Tuesday

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 13 April 2013 15:49 (thirteen years ago)

3-1, awesome.

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 13 April 2013 15:49 (thirteen years ago)

Neil Warnock is so pissed off, icing on the cake.

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 13 April 2013 15:50 (thirteen years ago)

Amazed that 2 of last seasons prem teams are heading for a successive relegation to League 1 with all the parachute payments, premiership quality players yawn etc. Well Blackburn look dodgy and Wolves practically gone with the dastardly fixtures they have.

Damo Suzuki's Parrot, Saturday, 13 April 2013 17:24 (thirteen years ago)

premiership quality players

Nilmar Honorato da Silva, Saturday, 13 April 2013 17:29 (thirteen years ago)

Not so much Blackburn tbh, but wolves yeah didnt strike me as a danger

privilege as 'me me me' (darraghmac), Saturday, 13 April 2013 17:32 (thirteen years ago)

Going down two divisions is a well-trodden path by now, though tbf i don't think it's been in successive years before. Bradford might've done it, possibly Norwich? I think even City took a couple of years bitd.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 13 April 2013 17:35 (thirteen years ago)

Normally there is stagnation in the Championship period a la Leeds, Charlton, Leicester where they are relatively competitive thanks to parachute money and retaining some of the higher quality players, but these are really poor teams. I suppose they have both suffered from poor chairman decisions which may be an understatement.

Damo Suzuki's Parrot, Saturday, 13 April 2013 17:42 (thirteen years ago)

Well anyway let that be a warning to you QPR fans.

Damo Suzuki's Parrot, Saturday, 13 April 2013 17:44 (thirteen years ago)

You don't need to tell us what happens after relegation form the Premier League. We blazed the trail for going down, then expecting to come back up quickly, but instead struggling badly before being relegated again, amid terrible financial problems. We taught Leeds everything they know about plunging quickly from the upper reaches of the top flight to being a joke club, thank you very much.

Trans-Europe Stopping Train (ithappens), Saturday, 13 April 2013 18:29 (thirteen years ago)

Well for what it is worth my team were the first ever former football league champions to get relegated from the top flight and then suffer successive relegations to Div 4. They blazed this trail in the 70's man!
