Last night I had a strange but sort of good dream about being in a strangely lit attic room with lots of twentysomethings. It was like a cross between a party and a seance. Alix was outside on the balcony with joss sticks, but that's not the weird part. As I approached the balcony door to talk to her, I saw a guy in white with his back to me. I stopped dead, and just studied him for a while. As I moved closer, I looked over his shoulder and saw he was holding a cuddly toy. That man, ladies and gentlemen, was Jess Harvell.

I dreamt lots about falling out of high buildings, so on, then Tracer Hand was driving me along in an old station wagon by the sea, too quickly, then the sea started coming up over the road, at first it was fun but then it came into the car, in big waves, the car got sucked into the sea but I was thrown out and was trying to get up the bank by the sea, but the sand kept crumbling back into the waves

okay, so the other night i had a dream that jay-z was sitting on a stoop in manhattan with me and bnw and playing us his new album and commenting on it. we were both bored but trying very hard to look interested. (i think he was onto us.) then we all went back to my mother's house in the country (there was a riot in nyc) and there was an ilx murder mystery, with zombies. latet in the dream, minna was my waitress, and we were passing secret notes back and forth to each other giving me advice. i didn't take her advice because i ended up making out with and fucking [DELETED] in hallway, despite the fact that i was still dating nancy.

i was on a tour bus riding through brooklyn with some ilxors and some other people -- in the dream brooklyn was completely new to me and i only had a vague idea of my bearings. the bus stopped in brighton beach and geeta and i went into a drugstore to buy soda. but i took too long to pick mine out and the bus left without us. we weren't sure how to catch up with the group, so we decided to make our way to the port authority to get a bus back home ("home" in the dream was not NYC). it was a holiday weekend and subway service was pathetically slow. thousands of people were trying to pour into this one station and it was so crowded and hot i thought i was going to faint. geeta was really mad at me.

OK I had a dream this morning that really has been bothering me all day; I was at the zoo with bnw and we were chatting about random stuff about the upcoming holiday season and where I was moving to and blah blah blah when all of a sudden he got really angry and told me he hated me. I was like, what? And he was like, "I really think you're a horrible person, that's all" and walks away, and I'm like "(bnw's real first name here), wait!" And then he turned around and he WASN'T bnw but was instead was an old male friend of mine who I've lost touch with years ago and he's like, "I'm not even named that! This is why I hate you!" and started running away from me. So I'm confused and I turned towards the little pen at the zoo we were looking at and realized that these animals were PIGS WITH PENGUIN FEATURES LIKE BEAKS OR FLAPPY BLACK WINGS. The sign says "PIGUINS" and then I woke up.

Today I dreamt I was going to Glasgow to see RJG, and he wasn't at the airport when I arrived so I was just going on buses for awhile and waiting for him, and I met Lorrie Moore at a bus stop and got her to sign my copy of Great Expectations, and she said she didn't write it and I said I knew but that I didn't have any of her books on me. Then I asked her when she's going to have a new book out, and she got kind of angry and said, "I haven't even had breakfast yet. Leave me alone." Then I found RJG.

I dreamt recently that I was watching a band with a humungous Buddha-like drummer who was sitting in the lotus position playing a tiny toy drum set that he held in his lap. He had a giant afro and was wearing a t-shirt that said "The Afro Band". I remember my reponse was "Wow, ?uestlove has gotten really fat".

For some reason they were playing at an indoor swimming pool.

one month passes...

Right, so last night I dreamt I was chatting up Jennifer Connelly in some bar with an extraordinarily widescreen TV (like 6 inches tall and five feet wide) and she said "what's your favourite film?" and I said "Dark City... no, Hulk... no, anything with you in" which is kind of true cos I do love both those films, and anything with Jenniffer in is obviously watchable, and then she came on to me really strongly, and I said "Wait a minute, aren't you married?" and she said "Yes, I'm married to Dan Perry" so I said "I could never go behind Dan's back, I have too much love and respect for him" and she said "Fair enough, our love can never be" and walked away and I'm like wtf?! this must have been the opposite of a lucid dream because had I Had any modicum of control over proceedings we would have made lots of babies for the next 10 seconds or however long it is that dreams last.

I am feeling disturbed by this to a degree that I cannot express.

OK, I'm worried. ILX or ILXors have turned up twice in my dreams in the past week. Perhaps due to withdrawl.

The first dream featured me going into a dodgy record shop in Camden and finding demos from the new My Bloody Valentine album on sale for only £10, and me buying them shouting "Ha ha, Ned will be so jealous!" I think this theme is starting to become sort of a recurring dream.

The other dream was a strange sci-fi epic in which I was working for a secret branch of the Environmental Protection Agency under the cover of a Tower Records subsidiary. We were being infiltrated by strange alien children who could do things like fly up the walls and swim across the ceiling. But this song kept playing on the radio that went "Jaaa-panese Hipster Girls Scout For Momus..." It was a great song, I remember the tune and everything. I wish it were real.

Night before last I dreamt that for some reason I had a diamond ring that belonged to Dr Dre. (I was under the impression that my dad had given it to me!) Dr Dre came to my house to ask where it was & I had hidden it (not very well) behind the tv. I said I didn't know & then he found it. He then proceeded to kick me in the face! Next day, I was walking down my street when there were some guys outside my house, incl Snoop Doggy Dogg! I thought Snoop had been sent to kill me fo sho! i asked him & he said no, so we just hung out for a bit. Cool huh! (apart from the kick in the face!) I'm such a gangsta beyatch!

I had a dream that Ned tried to kill me! He gave me a glass of wine but he told me it was juice so I drank it -- and with the medication I am on I cannot have alcohol of any kind so I was in the midst of dying when I woke up. It was very creepy and disturbing.

my dream last night: i am wandering through the vast southern ontario wilderness when i come across some discarded newspaper clippings. noticing that they had been very carefully torn into 2 sections - i pick them. the article was about a half page worth of posts from ilx. my 1st thought was to go online and tell/warn everyone. but that's probably just what they would want¡ who were these people publishing our musings and tearing them from the newspaper and why¿
