Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 31 March 2013 03:29 (thirteen years ago)

Rios' chin is really top of the line

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 31 March 2013 03:30 (thirteen years ago)

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 31 March 2013 03:31 (thirteen years ago)

amazing stuff

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 31 March 2013 03:35 (thirteen years ago)

12th round should lock it up for alvarado

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 31 March 2013 04:12 (thirteen years ago)

that was so fucking unbelievable and all the Gatti-Ward comparisons are right on. Alvarado headed to hospital for CT scan hope nothing seriously wrong. That post-fight interview was great even. Jesus Christ what a total pleasure that fight was, just incredible.

not feeling those lighters (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Sunday, 31 March 2013 04:41 (thirteen years ago)

yep. roy jones otm that these dudes should fight every quarter

johnny crunch, Sunday, 31 March 2013 17:06 (thirteen years ago)

alvarado really impressed me, hung in so well, great angles & short punches. i genuinely didnt think hed beat rios before the fight started

johnny crunch, Sunday, 31 March 2013 17:08 (thirteen years ago)

boxing really having a great year. Takayama-Rodriguez was as good as several previous fights of the year, but this year it'll have to settle for 3rd at best.

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 3 April 2013 07:12 (thirteen years ago)

Donaire-Rigondeux on right now. First fight at Radio City since 2000. 1st round was awesome - not a brawl, just beautiful boxing.

not feeling those lighters (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Sunday, 14 April 2013 03:30 (thirteen years ago)

next two were also great, all Rigondeaux for the most part. 4th round sucked

not feeling those lighters (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Sunday, 14 April 2013 03:46 (thirteen years ago)

Rigo looks like the best fighter in the world, Donaire's effort is pathetic

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 14 April 2013 04:10 (thirteen years ago)

reminder that Max Kellerman said Nonito Donaire was the greatest fighter he'd ever seen south of 126

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 14 April 2013 04:18 (thirteen years ago)

Nonito is usually a much better fighter imo, though I think Rigondeaux gets the credit for making him look bad. All non-boxer commentators except Al Bernstein are horrible.

not feeling those lighters (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Sunday, 14 April 2013 04:46 (thirteen years ago)

there's getting outboxed and then there's getting outboxed and giving up. Nonito just followed him around and let the first 8 rounds bleed away. His corner deserves some of the blame for not owning up to what was happening though.

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 14 April 2013 04:53 (thirteen years ago)

kellerman has decent boxing commentatting cred no?

brony james (k3vin k.), Sunday, 14 April 2013 05:06 (thirteen years ago)

commentating

brony james (k3vin k.), Sunday, 14 April 2013 05:06 (thirteen years ago)

I love this guy

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 20 April 2013 22:55 (thirteen years ago)

kellerman's not a total idiot, actually knows his shit imo but also knows what he has to do to stay viable as an on-air commentator i.e. be a dumbass.

my choices tonight were stay home to see canelo-trout or go out and see they live in 35mm and I'm goin' out. enjoy the fight, I don't see canelo's people giving him a fight he can't win

not feeling those lighters (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Saturday, 20 April 2013 23:06 (thirteen years ago)

a lot of people are picking Trout, not sure I see it

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 20 April 2013 23:23 (thirteen years ago)

I'm home in time to see it! stoked. conflicted - I don't love Canelo but popular fighters = good for the sport. A Trout win...well, he's not the guy who drew 40k to this arena. Still I'd sort of like him to pull a rabbit outta the hat here

not feeling those lighters (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Sunday, 21 April 2013 03:01 (thirteen years ago)

unless canelo screws up, gets loose w/ his d, i dont think hes losing this

johnny crunch, Sunday, 21 April 2013 03:06 (thirteen years ago)

gave the 1st round to Trout but the 2nd to Alvarez

not feeling those lighters (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Sunday, 21 April 2013 03:17 (thirteen years ago)

canelos right is really mean

johnny crunch, Sunday, 21 April 2013 03:34 (thirteen years ago)

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 21 April 2013 04:10 (thirteen years ago)

not feeling those lighters (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Sunday, 21 April 2013 04:11 (thirteen years ago)

anybody watchin' Maravilla tonight? or Khan earlier? Christ Khan can whine in that ring. He boxed well for the most part and earned the win but Jesus fuckin Christ he thinks people should be penalized for, you know, boxing with him

not feeling those lighters (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Sunday, 28 April 2013 01:11 (thirteen years ago)

areola bleeding like a faucet

johnny crunch, Sunday, 28 April 2013 02:24 (thirteen years ago)

Bermane Stiverne is an all-time name

johnny crunch, Sunday, 28 April 2013 02:26 (thirteen years ago)

decision has to be stiverne, & surely

johnny crunch, Sunday, 28 April 2013 02:58 (thirteen years ago)

fuk this means don king still has a good fighter

johnny crunch, Sunday, 28 April 2013 02:58 (thirteen years ago)

ha right? that guy put on a decent show though

not feeling those lighters (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Sunday, 28 April 2013 12:22 (thirteen years ago)

In his first bout in Britain for two years, the Bolton fighter was well on top until the fourth round, when he was floored by the Mexican's left hook.

I didn't see the fight but seriously how easy is Khan to peg with a left hook? Every time he's been in trouble in his career it's the same shot that gets him.

you say potatooles (onimo), Sunday, 28 April 2013 12:48 (thirteen years ago)

loving this shot

http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/67285000/jpg/_67285170_khan_diaz_getty.jpg

you say potatooles (onimo), Sunday, 28 April 2013 12:49 (thirteen years ago)

After being outworked by Khan in the first round, Diaz found his feet in the second, landing with a couple of flashing left hooks.

Diaz floored Khan with a left hook two minutes into the fourth

He stood up to a crashing left hook in the eighth

the 10th round was Diaz's, the veteran wobbling Khan with another crackerjack left hook

I think I see a pattern emerging.

you say potatooles (onimo), Sunday, 28 April 2013 12:52 (thirteen years ago)

big fight tonight. as a hater I'd love to call it for Guerrero but let's be honest, Floyd in 7
