Windsor Davies, Saturday, 16 March 2013 16:49 (thirteen years ago)

The only injuries were first half, weren't they? Some serious Fergie time bull.

EZ Snappin, Saturday, 16 March 2013 16:50 (thirteen years ago)

Yes! Some serious clenching at the end.

EZ Snappin, Saturday, 16 March 2013 16:55 (thirteen years ago)

HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURGHHHH

Windsor Davies, Saturday, 16 March 2013 16:55 (thirteen years ago)

ughhh fuck me thought that was in at the end

no complaints, found out and deserve to go down. beat two sides who didn't show up and then totally fall apart against a jumped-up pub team

r|t|c, Saturday, 16 March 2013 17:00 (thirteen years ago)

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH

crazed lerner fan (Sgt. Biscuits), Saturday, 16 March 2013 17:01 (thirteen years ago)

draw might have been fair, but i think on today of all day, i've never felt less magnanimous.

Windsor Davies, Saturday, 16 March 2013 17:05 (thirteen years ago)

suarez getting booked in injury time for obstructing boruc's kick was just the sweetest cherry on top of a big sticky bun of a day tbh.

will be lol if we stay up just by beating the teams we're not supposed to.

jabba hands, Saturday, 16 March 2013 18:33 (thirteen years ago)

Very little happening at OT (in case anyone was wondering)

I wish Reading had tried today. Boring game.

EZ Snappin, Saturday, 16 March 2013 19:21 (thirteen years ago)

yay

Number None, Saturday, 16 March 2013 19:23 (thirteen years ago)

I think it was a boring game *because* Reading tried. They were very effective at suffocating United and were still in with a shout of a draw in the 96th minute. You couldn't expect much more of them in the circumstances.

the company of wome (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Saturday, 16 March 2013 19:25 (thirteen years ago)

Anyhoo - I'm going to stick my neck right out and say I reckon United are favourites for the league now.

the company of wome (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Saturday, 16 March 2013 19:26 (thirteen years ago)

The 100 points is still on I think? I'm struggling to read any interest into the rest of your season tbh. I've a hunch that Ferguson will go all out for it, then retire with his 20 titles and 5 champions leagues in the bag. No doubt wishful thinking though and he'll be there forever.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 16 March 2013 20:50 (thirteen years ago)

100 points won't happen - assuming United win the league (which looks very likely now, but I thought that last season when we went 8 clear) with games to spare they'll drop loads of points. Still in the FA Cup too. Still got to play City. Plenty of interest from where I'm sitting (though obviously rather less from your perspective).

the company of wome (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Saturday, 16 March 2013 21:37 (thirteen years ago)

All the difference in the world between an 8 point lead and a 15 point lead though. United aren't gonna lose more than half of their remaining games, it just will never happen. Boring end to a title race but it's all City's fault

Windsor Davies, Sunday, 17 March 2013 00:59 (thirteen years ago)

City looked like wastemen yesterday. How has Mancini managed to wring all the excitement and unpredictability out of this side in the space of a season? At least you can properly hate them now I suppose.

Those two Everton goals were pretty great as well.

Matt DC, Sunday, 17 March 2013 13:14 (thirteen years ago)

"a season" ah here now goebbels

Xp where & wtf

mister borges (darraghmac), Sunday, 17 March 2013 14:15 (thirteen years ago)

Giorgos Katidis of AEK Athens

"I am not a fascist and would not have done it if I had known what it meant," Katidis said on his Twitter account.

The player said he was simply pointing at Michalis Pavlis in the stands to dedicate the goal to his team-mate as he continues to fight health problems. AEK's German coach, Ewald Lienen, backed Katidis.

"He is a young kid who does not have any political ideas. He most likely saw such a salute on the internet or somewhere else and did it without knowing what it means," he said.

Not a cuddly self-confessed fascist like Paolo Di Canio then?

with saints this season, when it's all clicked it's been great (prob 8 or 9 games - sounds like you've seen most of them imago, and weirdly a lot of those performances have come against top 7 sides). the rest of the time we've flattered to deceive with some very nice attacking football undermined by hopeless finishing and what feels like an unusually high number of defensive clangers, esp early in the season and before boruc was established as 1st choice keeper. i hesitate to say we're in a false position because we've also been wank in plenty of games (e.g. vs wigan, sunderland, QPR at home, etc etc) but there is this frustrating sense that we're nearly a very good side. too good to go down? not for me to say, guv.

jabba hands, Sunday, 17 March 2013 15:16 (thirteen years ago)

pochettino's team playing better/worse/same than/as adkins'?
