Frankly the packaging is just as bad there, it's little tiny sheets in plastic bubble-sealed packets, inside an outer wrapper. But yes, I can probably get to some somehow in New York City.

get the ones that are legal-sized sheets for maximum value/minimal packaging.

Also good if you're an undersea lawyer.

The seaweed sheets are very low calorie, iirc, like 100 for the whole package. If ya gotta eat a whole package of something, it should be that.

I tried those ones and there were one of the most vile things I've ever put in my mouth.

Dried kimchi snack. Interesting but not something I want to continually put into my mouth.

Really like the black and white rice rolls.

Jeez, this microwavable vegetable green curry bowl thing is stupid-bland and also is p much julienned carrots and some other julienned thing with maybe two pieces of v soggy cauliflower and nothing else. This is so awful!

Somehow the True Thai Vegetable Panang Curry in the microwavable cup manages to provide more than half of your daily recommended sodium intake while still tasting like it needs salt (and aside from raw radishes and cucumbers, I don't put salt on things).

the veggie flax seed tortilla chips are p gross, I discovered. Not a fan of the Salsa Especial either.

Their salsa section is so intimidating but I've found that the best one is the double roasted; it is the only salsa I will buy from anywhere at this point (except maybe Green Mountain Gringo). It's so yum!

I'll have to try it out!

The tinned thai stuff is pretty tasteless, and are the taquitos.

I will eat all the medium salsa especial.

Jar salsa is always disappointing, TJ's or not.

you know what's awful is the frozen pad thai bowl, it's like 50% limp sprouts

every six months i forget that i hate it and i buy one to have for lunch and i'm disappointed every time

I haven't had a TJs bowl I didn't find disappointing. The frozen bowl concept has birthed so many horrors.

garlic fries would be SO GOOD if the sauce was tweaked a little bit (the fries themselves are v quality) but as they are now they're too bitter or salty or *something* I can't quite identify. I was stoked too bcz I have had some really, really great garlic fries in my time!

Almond butter == life worth living.

The Cookie Butter chocolate bars are really really good. Too bad about the brand name: SPECULOOS. Never have your brand name just letters away from the word "speculum"

First coffee success at TJ's: Colombian Peaberry. Legit good.

Their Columbian Supremo was not to my liking.

that one was the best of the bad imo, but I really didn't like it much. This one is much better -- tastes passably close to coffee from a nu-style west coast roaster

the hemp tortilla chips were tasty when they had them. RIP oddly unpopular item.

the regular corn salted ones are p good. i am wary of fucking with any of their other 'weird' ones after the veggie flax seed experiment.

even the regular ones! There's yellow corn and white corn and blue corn, salted and unsalted and organic and not-organic, round, triangle, "longboard", etc etc.

i have to tread carefully whenever i bring cheese into the house. i bought a wedge of the awesome double gloucester last night and it's already half gone.

oh, I LOVE that cheese (and any other Brit cheese I've ever tried.

got a bottle of tj's habanero hot sauce not expecting as much heat as the label claimed. it's really really spicy with great flavor. I only wish it didn't have its final (unnecessary to me) ingredient xanthan gum which gives it just slightly more viscosity than I want. but it's still damn lovely

whole grain pretzel sticks <-- i have no idea why you would buy these but if you ever consider it.... don't

sometimes they stray too far into the "is this bird food or people food" area

or the "am i eating sheet rock territory?"
