Z-shirt was great, callback was a pleasant surprise.

Shark Tank could've been a lot better; McKinnon's impression was hilariously spot-on, but no one laughed, probably because no one watches Shark Tank.

u ppl & yr fucking 'callbacks'

Pope Rusty I (Dr Morbius), Sunday, 3 March 2013 20:54 (thirteen years ago)

eh, sometimes the work. but with a joke like that it felt lazy. the redeeming quality was just that nearly everything else was terrible.

s.clover, Sunday, 3 March 2013 21:24 (thirteen years ago)

xpost Is that a callback to the last time you complained about callbacks?

Coke Opus (Old Lunch), Sunday, 3 March 2013 21:25 (thirteen years ago)

I also died at News 360

sleepingbag, Friday, 8 March 2013 23:37 (thirteen years ago)

uh is that p simon w/ the scarf?

Pope Rusty I (Dr Morbius), Friday, 8 March 2013 23:46 (thirteen years ago)

yes and Tom Hanks in the back I think

Donkamole Marvin (Shakey Mo Collier), Friday, 8 March 2013 23:46 (thirteen years ago)

yeah, Hanks is playing a NYC tabloid columnist in a play by Nora Ephron, who continues to perpetrate middlebrow crap from the grave.

Pope Rusty I (Dr Morbius), Friday, 8 March 2013 23:47 (thirteen years ago)

Simon has seen the Joker's facelift guy?

Pope Rusty I (Dr Morbius), Friday, 8 March 2013 23:49 (thirteen years ago)

Jeez, Martin Short does not age.

Tarfumes The Escape Goat, Saturday, 9 March 2013 00:34 (thirteen years ago)

I <3 Martin Short.

Good ep so far. I nearly lost my shit when I saw them staging Maine Justice during the commercial break (upthread I claimed it was the best sketch the show had offered in years for the Jamie Foxx episode). It wasn't as good tonight, but I still love that entire premise and the lunacy it allows.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 10 March 2013 05:46 (thirteen years ago)

cold open was hilarious

J0rdan S., Sunday, 10 March 2013 05:48 (thirteen years ago)

Jesus, Justin Timberlake is a badass

O_o-O_O-o_O (jjjusten), Sunday, 10 March 2013 05:50 (thirteen years ago)

Martin and Aykroyd were surprisingly good on It's A Date.

Tarfumes The Escape Goat, Sunday, 10 March 2013 06:03 (thirteen years ago)

One of the better Omelettville sequels too.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 10 March 2013 06:08 (thirteen years ago)

maybe i'll regret thinking this cuz i remember loving the californians the first couple of times they did it but i think they can really beat maine justice to death before i get sick of that premise, stoked to hear they brought it back. maybe it'll be like stefon or what's up w/ that where somehow i'm still not sick of it.

balls, Sunday, 10 March 2013 07:26 (thirteen years ago)

Stefon was on tonight too. Now I'm wishing they'd swung for the fences and done a What's Up With That as well, but maybe I'm being too greedy.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 10 March 2013 07:31 (thirteen years ago)

well kenan basically wasnt even in the episode

J0rdan S., Sunday, 10 March 2013 07:32 (thirteen years ago)

Were they hiding Jay Pharoah because Jay-Z was on set? Kenan at least had a little bit in that 'She's Got a D!@k' fake trailer.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 10 March 2013 07:38 (thirteen years ago)

I thought the suit & tie performance was really super charming but we pretty much need hologram jay-z right now

Clay, Sunday, 10 March 2013 10:50 (thirteen years ago)

I kind of can't believe Timberlake is the same person as the annoying Chia Pet from 'NSYNC

Darth Icky (DJP), Sunday, 10 March 2013 15:28 (thirteen years ago)

i thought jay-z looked cool as shit last night

J0rdan S., Sunday, 10 March 2013 16:27 (thirteen years ago)

JT with straight hair freaking me out. Without all the curls his head looks enormous.

s.clover, Sunday, 10 March 2013 20:47 (thirteen years ago)

loved JT, and I loved getting Stefon back again

with the combed hair JT would make a good live-action Tintin imo

Martha Marcy May Marlene is awesome

gentle german fatherly voice (President Keyes), Monday, 8 April 2013 01:09 (thirteen years ago)

@ least this was like once-removed fat humor (ham sketch, pizza sketch) as opposed 2 the 1st time she hosted

johnny crunch, Monday, 8 April 2013 01:12 (thirteen years ago)

whos idea was this vince vaughn opening dear god

johnny crunch, Sunday, 14 April 2013 03:49 (thirteen years ago)

Ian Rubbish

Gukbe, Sunday, 14 April 2013 03:57 (thirteen years ago)

Testify Miguel testify..."Adorn" was awesome but was is this 2nd soul/rock hybrid #

curmudgeon, Sunday, 14 April 2013 04:50 (thirteen years ago)

this closing bar sketch is not funny

curmudgeon, Sunday, 14 April 2013 04:58 (thirteen years ago)

Very little of this episode has been funny.

Gukbe, Sunday, 14 April 2013 04:59 (thirteen years ago)

i really hope taylor swift and i live long enough to watch the 100th season of this show.

Pat Finn, Sunday, 14 April 2013 05:05 (thirteen years ago)

I was not into Miguel's rework of "Adorn" AT ALL.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 14 April 2013 05:29 (thirteen years ago)

It's not as good as the recorded version, but I liked it anyway thanks in large part to Miguel's charisma and moves. It was better than that second #, the rearranged "Too Many Drinks" with the added sped-up hairmetal meets punk guitarwork, and Miguel slamming down the mic. Attention-getting at least

curmudgeon, Sunday, 14 April 2013 15:09 (thirteen years ago)

If that was my first experience with Miguel I wouldn't give him another shot. As it was it was my second experience.

Raymond Cummings, Sunday, 14 April 2013 20:56 (thirteen years ago)

Vince Vaughn opening was A+

Raymond Cummings, Sunday, 14 April 2013 21:03 (thirteen years ago)

Ian Rubbish sketch pretty much redeems everything else about this episode.

Chuck E was a hero to most (s.clover), Monday, 15 April 2013 01:27 (thirteen years ago)

Vince Vaughn opening was A+

I really enjoyed it. Made pretty good use of his dickish, kinda Rat Pack energy and made me laugh a few times. Liked Ian Rubbish but also saw the twist coming a mile away and it never really killed.

Argentina: Ferret Sold As Poodle (GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ), Monday, 15 April 2013 03:23 (thirteen years ago)

Bill Grundy bit was gold.

Gukbe, Monday, 15 April 2013 03:24 (thirteen years ago)

i'm basically game to watch armisen do genial riffs on british punk-era figures all day long.

Chuck E was a hero to most (s.clover), Monday, 15 April 2013 03:28 (thirteen years ago)

any given bar sketch is usually not very good, but somehow i'd be keen to watch a dvd full.

Chuck E was a hero to most (s.clover), Monday, 15 April 2013 03:37 (thirteen years ago)

I just now saw the Ryan Lochte weekend update bit, that KILLED
