imago, Saturday, 9 February 2013 17:53 (thirteen years ago)

thomasintrouble, Saturday, 9 February 2013 17:59 (thirteen years ago)

imago, Saturday, 9 February 2013 18:38 (thirteen years ago)

FUCK YES

imago, Saturday, 9 February 2013 18:39 (thirteen years ago)

What in the fuck was that

the right to beef at (darraghmac), Saturday, 9 February 2013 18:39 (thirteen years ago)

What remains to be decided this year?

  • one(?) CL spot between three
  • two relegation places between six

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 9 February 2013 18:47 (thirteen years ago)

Every time I see Southampton I wonder how on earth they're so low in the table. Their 1-1 with Arsenal earlier this season was the most ineffectual I've seen Arsenal in a long, long time

Thomas Puncheon (imago), Saturday, 9 February 2013 18:57 (thirteen years ago)

cork/schneiderlin might be the best epl non-top-4 epl cm, compares favourably to mccarthy/macarthur and even britton/agustien/de guzman/idk

Thomas Puncheon (imago), Saturday, 9 February 2013 19:21 (thirteen years ago)

Rickie Lambert is the English Zlatan

Number None, Saturday, 9 February 2013 19:22 (thirteen years ago)

Slightly on the verge of tears a bit. Everyone around us loses, and we don't. We do the champions instead. I've looked at the run-in and there's all manner of potential banana skins, but we could be mid-table by next Sunday. Bloody hell.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 9 February 2013 19:36 (thirteen years ago)

all the story needs is resolution for adkins

espanyol shd hire him

Thomas Puncheon (imago), Saturday, 9 February 2013 19:39 (thirteen years ago)

He gazumps the supporters' trust for Portsmouth, leads them into liquidation

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 9 February 2013 19:42 (thirteen years ago)

most fun I've had at SMS this year, bloody hell, that was epic. we're going places. even handing the title to utd can't take the shine off :)

jabba hands, Saturday, 9 February 2013 21:27 (thirteen years ago)

Take the shine off??? Surely it just adds to the whole joyous experience?

A Yawning Chasm (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Saturday, 9 February 2013 21:42 (thirteen years ago)

i suppose someone has to win it

jabba hands, Saturday, 9 February 2013 22:10 (thirteen years ago)

The sight of the Reading players trying to mark the Stoke blunderbusses is quite upsetting.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 9 February 2013 23:31 (thirteen years ago)

Only seen the first two soton goals so far, joe hart can expect a call from that match fixing investigation

the right to beef at (darraghmac), Sunday, 10 February 2013 01:24 (thirteen years ago)

this does makes a nice change from the grant holt comparisons

jabba hands, Sunday, 10 February 2013 01:28 (thirteen years ago)

I wouldn't like to be Hart or Barry right now, imagining the shredding they must have taken on motd.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 10 February 2013 07:02 (thirteen years ago)

Oof, 'a bad day at the office' - I'll say!

How was I unaware of this guy? Former Reading keeper Marcus Hahnemann, Manchester United keeper David de Gea and the ex-Tottenham stopper Kasey Keller are all apparently big metal fans. But my all-time favourite is Dario Dubios, the Argentinian who played in full corpse paint.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 10 February 2013 13:20 (thirteen years ago)

Didn't know where to put this so I'll put it here as it's pretty lolworthy.

Both The Independent and The Mirror are reporting about a batshit story about Andy van der Meijde having warned Royston Drenthe when he came to play for Everton about temptations like sex and drugs. And that, now that Drenthe has gone to Russia, Van der Meije even checked out the girls for him in Russia there, reporting: "“Nothing to do. Ugly women. The coast is clear.”"

The source of the story is a satirical, Onion-like piece on a Dutch website that is completely made up.

Le Bateau Ivre, Sunday, 10 February 2013 13:44 (thirteen years ago)

Best language!

"stevige ... taxi ... ik hoor ... skiën op cocaïne ... phil kollins ... smekt de dj ... o man, o man" - really makes the story come alive imo

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 10 February 2013 14:46 (thirteen years ago)

for fucks sake.

EZ Snappin, Sunday, 10 February 2013 15:17 (thirteen years ago)

Shit running right out of Villa at the end here - and there's a late og to make it worse.

Stop Gerrying Me! (onimo), Sunday, 10 February 2013 15:18 (thirteen years ago)

woohoo! 3 points!

EZ Snappin, Sunday, 10 February 2013 15:24 (thirteen years ago)

god even when villa somehow hold out it feels like watching someone kicking a puppy.

hot young stalin (Merdeyeux), Sunday, 10 February 2013 15:26 (thirteen years ago)

Jones in for Carrick. Could be ugly

Number None, Sunday, 10 February 2013 15:31 (thirteen years ago)

A Villa win is the pity fuck of the EPL.

EZ Snappin, Sunday, 10 February 2013 15:32 (thirteen years ago)

Those last ten minutes must have been terrible for the fans - every attack looks as if it'll be the one to finish them. They get deeper and deeper every minute and end up with everyone crowded on top of the keeper.

Great win today though - they needed it to have any chance.

Stop Gerrying Me! (onimo), Sunday, 10 February 2013 15:32 (thirteen years ago)

probably too much to hope for to see west ham sucked in isn't it

jabba hands, Sunday, 10 February 2013 15:45 (thirteen years ago)

came in from going to the shops just as this game was finishing, put Talksport on as it was the only broadcast source available to me. Collymore was ripping into Villa's myriad failings for a solid minute, only after which it transpired that they'd actually won. his on-air demeanour is consistently bizarre to me

Julian-Joachim Roedelius (DJ Mencap), Sunday, 10 February 2013 15:45 (thirteen years ago)

several xposts to IK: how am I only finding out via that MBM that Paul McGregor ex of Forest, Northampton etc is now in that band Ulterior? I guess cos I don't really care abt them but even so

Julian-Joachim Roedelius (DJ Mencap), Sunday, 10 February 2013 15:47 (thirteen years ago)

This stuff might be all over the metal threads tbf, but still not worth the risk of opening them imo.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 10 February 2013 16:26 (thirteen years ago)

Despite the scoreline, Everton have looked the stronger team for about half an hour. Not that I'm complaining.

A Yawning Chasm (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Sunday, 10 February 2013 16:48 (thirteen years ago)

Rafael is so good. I love him

Number None, Sunday, 10 February 2013 16:59 (thirteen years ago)

lovely footage of Robbie Fowler kicking John Bishop in the face just now

Ismael Klata, Monday, 11 February 2013 21:02 (thirteen years ago)

We desperately need a centre forward on - either Fowler or Bishop would do tbh.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 11 February 2013 21:17 (thirteen years ago)

super soft pen

frogbsline (cozen), Monday, 11 February 2013 21:34 (thirteen years ago)

for goodness' sake

Ismael Klata, Monday, 11 February 2013 21:34 (thirteen years ago)

here comes Coutinho, excellent diversion tactic

Ismael Klata, Monday, 11 February 2013 21:35 (thirteen years ago)

ugh

Ismael Klata, Monday, 11 February 2013 21:38 (thirteen years ago)

no goal has ever been more inevitable

Ismael Klata, Monday, 11 February 2013 21:38 (thirteen years ago)

wtf's happened here
